Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3i Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Phone is physically damaged. I need to retreive some pictures.

I have some photos in my phone that cannot be replaced. The screen is cracked and doesn't display. I can't tell if the phone even holds a charge or powers on. Is there a way to extract the pics? Is there a place that will either fix the phone or extract the data?

I had my phone less than a month and it dropped and my screen cracked but I ordered it online and picked it up at the Wal-Mart store what do I do

physical damage is usually not covered under any device warranty. Suggest looking at manufacturer web site for a phone repair place.
I smashed my 2 week old lg mobile's screen and the digitiser under the screen. It was not covered under warranty but as I am tech savy I pulled my phone to pieces and replaced the digitiser and screen from a you tube video.

But you have to be careful as if digitizer is not damaged you can damage it with too much force trying to lift the screen and also from too much heat trying to melt the glue that holds down the screen.

Lg reset

Sounds like the LCD digitizer which either broke inside OR became disconnected. If the impact was not enough to sustain a screen crack, and you have warranty with either LG or through your carrier, you can get LG to fix it free if there is no physical damage, cracked screen, or water damage, with your carrier, it would be the easy, just tell them the screen isn't broken, the phone is intact but the screen is blank. That is a hardware failure... they are supposed to be able to withstand some drops so it really depends on how much physical damage there is.

A digitizer LCD is not expensive and there are ways to change them fairly simple since the screen isn't cracked, you go through most LG phones via the back, remove the camera, remove a black cover that holds the sim and or memory card, BE CAREFUL and please look at youtube to see a complete disassembly of your particular LG phone.

Palmpixi,cracked screen,photo retrieval?

I'm having the exact same problem. I took the phone to World of Wireless. They should be able to get the touch screen function working for you so you can retreive your photos.

My bold has a white screen with a couple black lines going vertically and a black circle/blob in the top right. The phone was never dropped and has no crack in the screen. Please try and help restore to...

You don't have to drop your phone to crack / break the screen. This problem is almost certainly caused by a crack screen. This can be easily repaired by taking your phone to the local repair shop and getting the LCD replaced.

Depending on where you live and who you know you can get this done for $50 - $100 in North America.

I replace my crack lg dare lcd screen but when i turned it on here is no picture

Hi, it sounds that the screen you replaced is either not placed to well or the screen is not too good.(damaged).

You can unscrew the phone and try to adjust it, and see if it will display,if it does not display, that means the screen is damaged.

Take care.

How can I get pictures off a broken phone??

OK, if the inner PCB is intact (or repairable) it is a simple swap to good body, screen and battery, crack the old users PW/PIN etc and you are in ;-)

Not hard, just timeconsuming
Find a replacement at Goodwill shop, swap shop, pawn shop, Craigslist etc (gotta have good screen and button area) and ring me up. In the meantime I'll gather the tools you'll need to DIY ok?

Take it to a store to get a replacement. Be prepared to pay $50 for them to get you a new one, because physical damage isn't covered by your warranty.

Take your phone into the repair center. If you have insurance on your account, and you have sprint, they can mail out a replacement phone free of charge if your phone has no physical damage (ie water damage, cracked screen, broken in half, etc.)
