No power appears to be coming in....no connection when door is closed; no lights come on on any of the cycle indicators...deader than a doornail@l

Hello. I need the make/model number to help you most accurately. From the symptom you describe, there might be a main fuse located on or near the main control board which has opened, killing power to the unit. Clues: totally dead--no lights--an open door will not affect indicator lights, the unit won't do anything though--safety(nothing will happen until the door is closed) Have you had a power outage recently? Usually 3-4 weeks after an outage, the damaged chips on the boards start to fail. This can be evidenced by blown control panels, blown main boards, etc. Make sure 120 volts *is* getting to the dishwasher--check the power connections below(be careful). If the breaker has tripped, reset it and see if the unit runs. Troubleshooting starts from the outside and proceeds inward, eliminating the obvious and moving to ever more complex problems until the culprit is found. Definitely supply me with that model number so I can see what I'm dealing with and guide you correctly. Thanks!

I cannot change the program.

Hello. I really need the make/model number of your unit to help you accurately. However, from what you describe, the problem very well could be a defective user interface(big technical term for "the button control panel", lol) Age doesn't really matter--Being a tech, I've seen everything from water damage, spilled coffee, infestation(bugs crawling around inside, shorting out the board),etc...If only *some* of the buttons work on the control panel, it's a good bet that's where the problem is. Have you had a power outage recently--usually 3-4 weeks after the event is when things start happening or *not* happening. If your unit has the touch panel(glass surface that you just touch to activate), they are very susceptible to current surge damage. If you have the soft-touch buttons, it's common for one or more of the buttons to either become shorted or just not work. In either case, replacement of the panel is necessary because they can't be repaired. I hope I helped you!

My Samsung dishwasher dw7933lrabb does not have power. There is power going into the unit, but nothing will turn on

Hello. You question is partially vague but I will try to give you some insight into possibilities. If you're sure power is reaching the washer(checked the ac connections at the base to make sure 120v is present) then next, are there ANY lights illuminated on the front panel? If there is nothing lit, then there is a strong possibility of a blown main control board and/or user interface(the push-button panel *you* choose options from). Now, if there are lights lit and when you hit start, nothing happens, the door switch could be the culprit--its a safety feature that prevents anything from turning on while the door is open. Sometimes, liquid can get spilled into the opening for the latch and drizzle down into the electric lock mech causing a malfunction. Have you had a power outage recently? If the answer is yes, then the main board or user interface could have been damaged--if the current surge doesn't blow out the appliance immediately, *usually* about 3-4 weeks after the episode things will start happening or *not* happening with appliances due to damaged chips on the boards starting to fail. The user interface board is dd92-00030A. The main control board is dd92-00033a. I hope I helped you!

Control panel is not responding

Most likely, if power *is getting to the unit*, (there are lights lit on the washer), then the culprit will be a shorted user interface board(control panel). This is a fairly common type of issue with dishwashers. The soft-touch buttons or the touch panel has a shorted button or area(depending on the type you have) and nothing else will function because the unit thinks you're still pressing a control button. Also, a VERY common cause of this issue, aside from moisture or bugs, is a power outage damaging the console when power is restored due to a surge. After an outage where damage occurs, the symptoms don't usually start for about 3-4 weeks after due to damaged chips on the board starting to fail.

Kitchenaid dishwasher kuds30ixssa has pump running but have no lights on control panel with door closed.

Did you have a power outage recently? They are notorious for damaging circuit boards--usually about 3-4 weeks after the power interruption strange things will either start happening or *not* happening with appliances due to damaged computer chips on the boards starting to fail. Your symptoms indicate either a blown user interface(push button panel) or a defective main control board(board with the brains on it) or both!

Why won't my Kenmore dishwasher display work properly?

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

Heating Element

If lights are flashing on the control panel, the heating element might have burned out. The heating element heats the water up to operating temperature. After a set amount of time if the temperature isn't reached a light on the control panel might start flashing. The heating element can be checked for continuity with an Ohm meter.

Check Fault Codes

If the display lights are flashing and there is an error code in the display window, check the wiring diagram and tech sheet in the dishwasher that will provide information on the fault.

Drain Pump

If lights are flashing on the control panel, the drain pump might not be working properly. For two-wire drain pump motors check them for continuity using an Ohm meter. If it's defective You'll need to replace it. Drain pumps are not repairable.

Touchpad and Control Panel

If the lights are flashing on the display the entire touchpad and control panel assembly might be defective. If the display works but the dishwasher functions are all out of synch, or some of the buttons don't respond properly the entire touchpad and control panel might need to be replaced.

Touchpad

If the display lights are flickering for no reason, the touchpad might need to be replaced. Sometimes when the touchpad is defective the display lights are flashing randomly.

Pdw 9800 jooww When power came on after outage, touch panel doesn't work and there is a constant beeping noise.

Try pressing two control buttons side by side in the center of the panel. The result will light all the buttons on the panel. A test mode will follow before it resets itself.

No power to control panel after power surge

1. No power to the dishwasherMake sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

2. Door switch
Replace if defective.

3. Timer
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

4. Selector switch
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

No power to control panel after power surge

Try turning the curcuit breaker off for a few minutes. Turn it back on and see if it resets itself. If not, the outage may have shorted out the main control panel.
