Question about Phones

1 Answer

My LG 600g won't let other people send me ringtones, or music, i get them, but then not be able to do anything with them, not listen to them, not move them to other places on my phone, or even use them as ringtones. They go to my stuff > other, and are completely useless, and i can't even buy real ringtones off of my phone's internet, they are polytonic.

The problem is the LG600g uses .mid and .amr format files, so anything in mp3 won't play on it.
This really should be noted on the website (tracfone or net10's), but its not.

Here are some instructions for making real music ringtones (though the quality isn't great): http://pbush14.wordpress.com/2008/09/07/create-free-ringtones-for-your-lg-600g/
So for cropping songs I recommend following their instructions and you can use the converter listed there or use this one http://www.miksoft.net/mobileAMRconverter.htm for a conversion that sounds a little better.

Depending on your cell phone and cell phone provider, there may be a formating issue, you should try to send it to a PC using a bluetooth dongle and test the file to ensure it is working

The lg phone ux830 rings very quiet at first then gets louder after about 2 seconds, how can i make the ringtone loud from the start?

I transferred music to my LG830, and I would like to make some songs caller IDs. I can't seem to find any of my music in the "my audio" folder, though it is in the music section.

There actually IS a way to use your own MP3s as ringtones. You will need Web Access from Alltel, which costs $1.99 per day or $5.99 for a month. I put up a step-by-step guide to successfully using MP3s as ringtones on my blog: http://blog.edirectories.info/2008/09/add-mp3-ringtones-scoop-ax260/

Downloading music

I am afraid it is a long and boring process but if you take the time to find the scribe for ringtones under text messaging, you can follow the prompts after you press the top left button indicating in the screen as the send button function. Hope this helps, let me know.
