My mp3

Hello Metalhead92,

I am sorry to hear about your Insignia® Pilot MP3 player's cracked screen. Unfortunately cracked screens are considered to be physical damage and are not covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty nor by any Best Buy™ performance service plan or product replacement plans.

The MP3 player may still be serviceable but you would have to pay for the cost of repair. Your local Best Buy store can help you by sending the unit out for an estimate. However, my experience with these kinds of repairs is that they can often come close or exceed the cost of a comparable replacement item. It may make more economic sense to simply purchase a new MP3 player.

Best Regards,

Cracked Screen

There are not any outside of Philadelphia and a few scattered places. It is simply not cost effective - it would cost more to replace the screen than to buy a new Mp3 player (and no one is able to replace the screen outside of Sandisk). Sorry.

Insignia 4GB MP3 player screen crack

Take the unit back to Best Buy. I believe they will fix the screen as a "good faith" gesture.

Cracked screen beneath top screen.

ok.. There is no question here. So you've got a cracked screen. What do you want us to do about it? If the screen is cracked, there's nothing you can do to fix that. Best thing would be to buy a new MP3 player. Check out :) It's what I have.

Broken screen

In-warranty - call Philips
Out of warranty - call Philips for best repair/replacement prices

Option 2 - consult local yellow pages or Best Buy Geek Squad to see fi they will perform repair

Option 3 - get a new Mp3 Player - the cost of repair usually exceeds cost of gettign a new one.
