Re: i dropped and it came apart

Solved it.
If you need to take it all the way apart, here's the scoop:

Get the top cover off by popping it up at the hinge side (this is what pops when you drop it)... then at the charging end, slide the top towards the hinge to slip the clips out from under something.

the folding mic tells the board it is open by a small z-shaped piece of plastic. The skinny end of this fits into a tiny hole in the bottom of the case and the fat side slides up and down in a little round space over on the side of the case. There is a rubber button with a dark piece that sits on top of the round space. The dark side of the rubber piece presses against a round circle on the circuit board and tells it whether the mic is open or closed. Once you put it all together, you have to press the board down pretty firmly to tell if it is all working.

Then put the volume buttons back in place and slide the top back on.

Re: i dropped and it came apart

Its really really an easy fix. the unit snapps apart, starting from the end on the oposite side of where the unit is charged. Don't take it farther apart than you need to slip the button back in place on each side and snap it together. If you need more space you can take it apart farther however be careful not to remove a little plastic piece that is used to turn the unit on when the boom is open.

Phone not recognising sim card. Window pops up which says 'insert sim card or to view a demo of this phone first press Demo"

Sim contacts may be dirty, either on the card or phone.
remove sim card and GENTLY rub a pencil eraser on the contacts to clean, then test. If you can access the contacts on the phone, do likewise. If not, then you'll have to use an Ether based cleaner, Like electrical parts spray ( available from your local auto parts store) .
be careful not to spray too much into the phone, as once the spray gets inside it takes longer to evaporate. You can counter the time by using compressed air to speed drying of the phone interior without taking it apart.
Hope this helps!!

Headset only one side working

These get banged up, you will need to find the short circuit in the wire by starting to take them apart. Usually the wire is damaged where it enters the housing. You can use and xacto knife to do some surgery. Prices keep dropping for ok quality headsets but if you need to spend more than $20 US you might try to find the broken wire and splice it back together.
Good Luck :)

The buttons don't work?

Trash and lint get under the buttons. Take it apart and clean the buttons and joysticks with a Q-tip.

Dropped the blue tooth in my coffee, can it be taken apart to dry. It does not turn now.

Seriously it may be time to buy a new one.
But you have little to lose.
Try prying the body apart with a sharp knife edge.
If you can get it open, wash it in water to get the coffee out.
Water warm to the touch is ok.
Leave it in a warm dry place like a sunny windowsill for a week or so.
Reassemble it, give it a good charge and see if it works.
It may well, electronics are not as delicate as some people think.

I keep having a prblem where i can only hear on only one side while the other is mute! how to fix this?

That would be a wiring problem. Do your best to safely take the headset apart. Find where the wire frayed and try to use electric tape to reconnect it.

I have plugged in the USB cable and cannot seem to connect the headet to the remote piece. do I need to push the buttons at the same time or not or how else does one connect to the other.

you must wait for it to charge up...also...the device comes with its own driver so put that in even though the computer says it is ready to will tell you how to set up the device....when its done...wait 4 hours or over night with the device pluged in and you should be good to go, press the call button on the side...the compter will either say its connected or a pop up window (if you are on msn) will pop up asking you who you want to call

Putting it Back Together - 3mm pin inside the casing

hey, whats going on man? yea, i just dropped my headset on the floor today too. the same thing that happened to you happened to me. well i think i found the solution. if you look at the headset from the bottom theres going to be an indent on the top left corner and underneath it theres going to be a little gold circle thats going to be split in four. thats where the little plastic peice goes, with the black side touching it.
