you need to buy a wireless USB adpater for the laptops if they dont have built in wifi..Linksys,Netgear etc would be a nice choice

Does your computer notify you there are wireless networks in range? If not is there a switch on the laptop to enable or disable the wireless adapter? Furthermore, are the other laptops in your household able to connect to the wireless router?

1.check from your laptop manual if your laptop include wireless LAN.
2. it you can't find your manual you can also check from you laptop itself, find if there is switch for wireless network if found switch it on.
3. you can also check from your windows if wireless network exist, in your desktop right click "My Computer" then select "Properties", select "Hardware" tab, click "Device Manager"
4. from Device Manager properties expand Network Adapter click(+) sign and look if wireless adapter exist, (if no found you laptop does not have wireless adapter)
5. check if (!) in yellow color mark in wireless adapter if mark is found you need to update the driver(right click then select update driver)
6. if above does not found any, you need to purchase a usb wireless ethernet adapter.

hope this will help

To my knowledge, this laptop does not have an in-build wireless card. You will need to purchase a wireless USB adaptor such as hi there please help me - pixel-clr.gif Netgear WPN111 or a D-Link WUA-1340. You can go into any computer store and ask or a wireless USB adaptor. They're fairly inexpensive ($10 - $50).

Simply load the drivers onto the laptop and plug it in. Scan for your network and connect. The manual that accompanies the USB adaptor will give you all the details you need for this.

Hi my wireless connection on advent roma 1000 laptop keeps turning on off

Hi

have you tried all your windows updates this may offer up a newer update for the wireless driver
or
go to computer properties/device manager
scroll down to the wireless driver
double click it and go to the driver tab
try to update the driver from there

if you can please uninstall it
and restart the laptop and hopefully windows will reload the wireless driver correctly for you

if not plug in a ethernet wire from your laptop to your router to make sure you can get online
and click on this link and download and install the wireless driver

My acer aspire 5735Z tells me that the wireless facility is switched off. windows suggests that there is a switch on the front or side of the pc to press but there isnt. is there a hotkey? I have used it...

There is either a dedicated switch or a function switch. Function switch works like a capital letter, but using the function key instead of shift key.

My brand New Asus laptop keeps dropping off wireless network

try it on another wireless connection and see how it works. Belkin routers are usually not the best, that's why they are so cheap

If the prob persist on another wireless network than contact ASUS technical support

Intel PRO/Wireless is turned off and I need help turning it on.

Hi,
just go to Network Connection >>right click Wireless Adapte>>Enable.
if doesn't work try to uninstall the Wireless NIC from the Device Manager, go to Device Manager>>Network Adapter(expand)>>Right click on wireless adapter>>uninstall.
once done, click on Action Menu on the top and click on Scan for hardware changes. It would automatically detect the wireless card.
then try to use it, it should work fine :)

Presario F700 Wireless

You are f****d. This is a hardware problem, my sister-in-law is having the same problem. I probably have to figure out how to order a replacement part. Hopefully the wireless card isn't directly soldered into the mainboard. But I imagine it is. Which would mean an entire mainboard replacement. Which would mean buying a new laptop since it's not worth the replacement.

Next time. Get a mac. I'll tell her the same.
