Question about Xerox WorkCentre C2424DN All-In-One Laser Printer

1 Answer

On start up message 'disc failure 19.1' comes on.

Hi guys,

When I start the C2424, it goes through it's start up routine checking ram, usb etc. When it comes to the check on the disc drive it, fails that check with the above message and then sits there flashing lights.
I have removed the disc drive and it's interface cable to try and run it without these, but still get the same message.
How can I initialise the nvram to try and clear the disc problem? Can I just buy a disc and replace it? Can I run the device with no disc drive by inserting a code?

Hope you can help guys...

John

Won't boot up. the xp logo shows up and it goes to the advanced startup screen. no matter what i choose ( safemode) etc.., it won't boot up. it just keeps on rebooting.

It's an open case... could be practically anything!
First check in the BIOS the configuration for the SATA controller. Try changing it to Native or Compatible (if possible) and see if it boots up.

Next, I would do a Repair installation using the Windows installation disc.

If setup fails in the middle it indicates a hardware failure.
* Do a bad sectors check/repair using HDD Regenerator.
* Try using different memory modules (RAM) and/or other power supply.
* Remove any non-crucial add-in cards such as modems, PCI USB, etc. and see if it helps in any way.
* Try replacing the graphic card or use the onboard one instead (if exist).

Good luck!
Pelu.

Problem with the Acer One 110: System hung-up

Do you have a backup disc i.e. an operating system disc! as it sounds like you may have to reload the complete operating system. If restore cant be accessed then you will undoubtedly will have to do a clean install!

System boot problem

This is possibly a bad hard drive. If you know the manufacturer of your hard drive you can download diagnostic tools from their site, burn to cd and run diagnostics to check the drive for errors or failure.

Hi Debbie!

It sounds like you dell trying to boot up from a disk.

Get in the bios and change the boot seqvence from cd to hdd (harddisk)

Before that, check so the cdrom is empry, so the girl dident forget a disk or something in the cg-sledge.

If the cd-sledge is empty then the bios change will solve our problem.

Good luck

Hi,

To my knowledge, ERROR 19 on a Pioneer DEH series indicates failure on the USB connection. This is usually reserve for an iPod direct connection. If you are using such a device, pls:
  • check the Pioneer CD-IU50 USB Interface Cable;
  • reset the iPod;
  • disconnect the iPod and try again;
  • reset the Pioneer by removing the yellow and red connections. Pls note that some versions would require a security code when reconnected. Pls have this ready if and when your particular unit has a security/anti-theft feature;
  • reference page 32 of the manual.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
