Set date can't find the prompt when I use the menu

Press the Menu button on the handset of the cordless phone when every handset (and the base) are in standby. Next look at the keypad and press the # key (below 9), then press 1. Press 0 and then press 1 again. Now, type in the month, date and year in the appropriate format. You will see a prompt for the information; use 2 digits for month and date (01 and 05 for example). You can also look at the menu and sub-menu lines and highlight the various items with the up/down arrows and press Select in between. (Press Menu. Then you would highlight Settings, Set Date/Time, Set Date.)

Since you didn't give the make & model of your phone, the menu item titles may be different. If you need more information, please add a comment with the specific information about your phone.

Using the Capture Menu
The Capture Menu allows you to adjust camera settings that affect the characteristics
of the images and video clips you capture.
1. While in Live View or Playback, press , then use to highlight .
2. Use to highlight a menu option, then press to display the menu option's
sub-menu.
3. Use to highlight a setting, then press .
4. Press to exit the Capture Menu.
For on-camera information about an option, use to highlight Help... in the option's
sub-menu, then press .

In the capture menu goto

Date & Time Imprint Imprints date in lower left corner of image.
Off Default No date or time imprinted on the image. (this setting)
Date Only Date permanently imprinted.
Date & Time Date and time permanently imprinted.

this should fix your problem

Go into the Camera's Menu settings, scroll through the settings to Set the Date & Time.

Open the display on your Asus and click the "Shut down" tab in the lower-right corner of the desktop.
Click "Yes" when prompted, to confirm.

Power on your laptop, and press the "F9" key when you see the logo screen.
A menu will pop up with a list of three options.
Select the "Restore Factory Settings" option (which is the last one in the menu).

Select "Yes" when prompted, then hit the "Enter" key to confirm the reboot.

Wait about 30 seconds for the system to restart, then agree to the licensing agreement when prompted.

Confirm your name, password and time and date when prompted.
Then wait as your computer configures.

i guess go to the settings part once again and try making them show instead of hide. if still the problem continus u need to factory restore option

I bought an Elonex 705EB for my mum and had the same problem. It's not pressing the select key that changes the time. You must correct the time then press Menu button on yes (I had to press twice in row before it worked). I don't know why it works different from the manual. I found this out through a lot of trial and error!

Setting the Date, Time and Date Stamp:
Use the following procedure to change the date and time setting.
1. Slide the Function switch to the capture mode.
2. Press the Mode button twice to turn on function menu. Press the Shutter button to confirm.
3. Press (up arrow icon) or (up arrows icon) to adjust the date and time. Press ◄ or ► to advance to the next setting.
4. When finished, press the Shutter button to confirm the setting; press the Menu button to return to the main menu, press the Mode button to exit the menu.

The Date & Time have been reset message appears after the Language screen the first time you turn on the camera. It may also appear if the batteries are removed for an extended time.

1. SET DATE & TIME is highlighted. Press the OK button.
   (Select CANCEL to set the date and time at a later time.)
   
2. Go to Step 4 below, Setting the date & time, anytime..

1. In any mode, press the Menu button.
   
2. Press to highlight Setup Menu , then press the OK button.
   
3. Highlight Date & Time, then press the OK button.
   
4. Press to adjust the date and time. Press to advance to the next setting.
   
5. When finished, press the OK button.
   
6. Press the Menu button to exit.
   

Press the MENU or SETUP button. Scroll to FAX SETUP, then just go through the sub-menu items to set the date, time etc. You should be just fine after that. Also, you can go onlline to hp.com. Click on the Support & Drivers tab, enter your printer model and hit GO, then just follow the prompts to find your manual. Save the PDF manual to your desktop.
