My Breville BDF450 will not turn on (no lights no nothing). Heated oil up prior to cleaning. Cleaned and changed oil now unit will not work at all

Did you pour out the oil when it was still at it's hottest temp? I would guess there is a master overheat sensor that tripped off. It will be a little thermodisc with 2 power wires connected to it. Find and replace that thermostat sensor. You can test it for continutiy with a volt meter.

Frymaster Dean Deep Fryers pilots light automatically go off

Will this heat up at all. Is it the same Model # as the one you .have some changes from the one you have for 2 years ago might have been made. check model # and make sure it is the same The light that go's out might be when the unit come up to the setting you put you Thermostat on meaning it heated up and will come back on when the temp drops and it starts to heat back up. it's that simple. if you just got this unit it should work if you turn the heating setting up . Let me know if the unit heats that is the starting point.

V e bought a bravetti deep fryer pro and it only lights up 1 out of 4 times!!! green light does not come on, nothing happening... is their a guaranty or something i can do???

How long have you had it? I would go back to where you purchased it from and check with them first... If you've had it too long, or bought it used, try to find their website, the manufacturer, and get their 800 number and call and speak with someone there in their service/warranty dept. If that's not possible, maybe you can find a small Mr. Fix-It repair shop where you live or go to a commercial repair shop that works on deep fryers... They should be able to give you a quote for free, and if it's too much to repair, then junk it, and buy another one.

Just off the top of my head, if it works sometimes, it sounds like a short either in the electrical cord.....or wiring inside the unit. For it to work 1 out of 4 times, the connection is not good somewhere in the unit or in the cord. Try looking at the cord very carefully and see if you see any splits in the plastic covering, and/or can you take the bottom of the unit off, carefully, and look at the wiring inside? If you can, you may be able to spot the wire that's bad right off the bat yourself, and just either repair it yourself or buy some new wiring and rewire that part only.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but I work on commerical equipment only, and don't have alot of knowledge about home models...
Good luck,
Susan

The burners will not light. The pilot does light. I had my staff try to hit anything that looked a reset, but I don't know if the high limit switch has a reset or if the switch itself is bad.

The high limit switch has nothing to do with the pilot light, but will shut down the main burners. It the pilot light will not stay lit, then it is most likely the thermocouple. If the pilot light will not light at all, then gas is not reaching the pilot. Most likely, the pilot light tube is clogged with grease. When you push on the button to light the pilot, you are overriding all safeties inside the unit and sending gas to the pilot. Also make sure that the unit itself is getting gas. New regulations require a shut off within the hose that feeds the appliance which will shut off due to a surge of gas through the hose. To reset it, disconnect/reconnect the hose at the intake end and when you turn the gas back on, turn it on slowly.

Trouble light comes on, can barely read the instruction around it(faded over time)It says to push a red button but not sure where the button is. Help!!

When trouble light comes on, it indicates that the hi-limit is tripped (this happens when oil temperature exceeds 450 Fahrenheit). The red button is located at the upper back panel of the unit, give it a push to reset but if nothing happens after resetting the button, the hi-limit needs to be replaced. Also try to check if the thermostat is working, stuck thermostat's mechanical contact will cause the hi-limit to trip.

I turn on the power and before I can set the temperature I get a flashing "err" message and can't do anything.

You are not alone. We have the same problem. Unit worked fine for 2-3 years. We still have the manual. This is not a user error- we know how to use it. The sensor switch is fine- it would not power on without that working ok.

The red power light comes on, and when we turn it ON it says "200" for about 2-3 seconds... then "Err". Nothing is possible after that, the unit has to be powered off.

We can push Temp Mode and start setting the temp higher but after 2 seconds it just goes to Err. It does not matter what buttons you push- you don't have to push anything at all and it says "Err". Reset button does nothing- this is not a heat temp overload issue. This unit worked at Thanksgiving, and then not at Christmas! We tried powering it on 10-20 times... nothing. Then the next day as we were about to put the turkey in the oven I tried the fryer again... and presto it worked fine!!! Now today it does not work again. Tried it 10 times, no go. Unit was stored in pantry (in house) so it is not a cold/warmup issue. I think it is something messed up in the electronics- a weak solder joint, a bad chip, who knows. It's like the unit fails a "power on self test". Unfortunately, I do not have a solution yet. Don't want to buy another Masterbuilt for sure... only use this 1-2 times a year. Will share if I find anything.

Will not heat to temperture

have you tried to simply pull the frier out and make sure the main gas valve hasn't gotten turned partly closed causing the gas to be restricted to flow also some times the flex hose that hooks up the unit to the mian wall line gets pinched closed and will cause the same problem the unit will light up and act right all except for coming up to the rt. temp. we had this problem at the place i work at happen to our friers, may not be your problem but it don't cost nothing to try these two things and see plus save you on a repair call..good luck with it and hope this helps.
