Windows displays a message saying that the device is not recognized
After applying one solution presented here, I have another problem with my wireless adapter:
After I plug it into the usb, windows displays a message saying that the device is not recognized and to reconnect the device. It also says if the error occurs again, I should replace the device. Are those the only options?

Ok, there is no longer support for these adapters, and there are plenty of problems with getting them going and keeping them going.
I would get a refund if they are new, if not don't waste any more time with them and buy a more user recognised product.

1]Go to control pannel
2]Go to System and Security
3]Go to Device Manager
4]Click Universal Serial Bus Controllers
5]Right click the USB
then Reboot computer while pendrive is inserted in USB
Then connect to the internet. When you connect to the internet if the said USB is empty
(i.e. no device is inserted in it) they install the device
eventhough the device is not present, causing the said error.
Please try these steps: You don't need any driver software, if your pc has windows xp sp2 or later and Windows Media Player 11. 1. Connect the player to the computer. 2. From the computer, select start - Control Panel - Performance and Maintenance - System. "System Properties" is displayed. 3. Select Hardware tab, and open Device manager. 4. Open Universal Serial Bus controllers, and select USB Mass Storage Device or WALKMAN NWZ-XXXXX. 5. Select Action - Update Driver ... from the menu bar. "Welcome to the Hardware Update Wizard" is displayed. 6. A dialog on Windows Update connection will be displayed. Select No, not this time., followed by Next. 7. Select Install from a list or specific location [Advanced], followed by Next for the hardware install method. 8. Select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install., followed by Next for the search and install option. 9. Check Show compatible hardware, and then select MTP Device* in the model list, followed by Next. The device driver is installed. 10. "Completing the Hardware Update Wizard" message is displayed, and confirm "MTP Device" message. Click Finish.
This means that your system does not display any printer name under the printer's list even though you would have installed your wireless printer on your Windows Vista system. This could be caused if you have not updated printer drivers in your system or the printer is incompatible with Windows Vista. Also see if the Windows firewall is blocking the printer from being recognized by your system. get more information for HP Wireless Printer Problems . Hope this helps you.
Hi, the problem seems to be that your computer, do not recognize “which monitor is being used.”Follow these steps to correct the problem.First (right) click on an empty area of your Desktop Screen next click Personalize, click Display Settings, click Identify Monitor. At this point, your monitor should be present. If Analog or Digitaldisplay settings is present choose is Digital! To finalize the application, click (OK), next Apply!Restart your computer. I hope this solves your problem. Thanks paul7of9
Turn off CPU, Unplug Power cable, And all usb devices, let it sit for
about 20mins. Plug it all back in. Turn on the CPU! Also make sure if
your device requires "DRIVERS" or if you have a CD download and install
that before anything.
