Your first problem is the AEV1000 come with a Dehumidistat on not a Thermostat.
Best place in Summer time is 90% or unplug the unit if you open your windows.
Best place in winter time is around 40%-50%

For the manual. contact Fantech at 1-800-565-3548 ask them for the 1 or 2 page manual for MDEH1 They can email it to you of Fax it. They can probably even Mail it.

Energystar says to keep it within 4 degrees to save the most money, for instance, if you want the cooling to be 72 when home, dont go more than 76 while away, you spend more money trying to recover from high temps. on the flip side, if you like it 68 in the winter, dont set it less than 64 when away! that should help

You put too much verbiage in the subject line so your question is truncated.
Thermostats by definition control temperature so regardless whether it is marked 1-10 or in degrees, you need to set it for your comfort and it will turn off and on to try to regulate it.

Open following link to determine if timer is bad:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-Intermatic-timer.html

Key things are clock dial rotating on timer, and manual override lever turning load ON-OFF.
If clock motor is rotating and keeping good time, then you know that timer is receiving 240Volt from circuit breaker.

Check for loose wiring, and then check if you have 240V across terminals 2 and 4.
If you have 240volt across terminals 2 and 4, then that says 240V is going to Load, and that load is suspect.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html

Buy cheap multimeter from hardware: set multimeter to read 240 or 250V, and put test prongs on terminals 2 and 4, and then move override lever and test again.
Safety: Tape multimeter leads to wood sticks to keep hands away from power. Stand on dry boards. Use adequate light.

If timer is genuinely bad, then you can buy timer insert: T104M
Usually it is cheaper to buy whole new T014, and then snap new mechanism into old box.

Have a intermatic sprinkler timer that is has been reconnected to the pump. it works in the manual mode but the timer does not work looking for help on the wiring (video for dummies preferred)

No video.
If manual override works, look to see if dial rotates on time for full 24 hours. If dial keeps good time, then timer clock motor is wired correctly. If dial stops rotating after tripper passes, then wiring is wrong. If trippers are absent or worn down then timer will not turn Load on-and-off.

http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/How-to-Set-and-Troubleshoot-Intermatic-sprinkler-timer.pdf

How to wire timer:
You posted under R8806P101C 240Volt timer without rain sensor connections.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Intermatic-r8806p101c-manual.pdf
If this is not your timer, then add a comment with model number that appears on door panel.
The wiring block has 4 screw terminals. From left to right: 1 2 3 4
240Volts cable has two hot leads from breaker box. Hot leads from breaker box connect to screw terminals 1 and 3.
Timer operates 240Volt pump load. Cable to pump load has 2 wires. Connect Load wires to terminals 2 and 4.

My timer manual switch works,it turns the outside lights on and off. However the automatic dial, even when plled out and set to time to operate does not work. What 's going on? Isit me?

The two tabs are for On ad OFF.
One is slightly longer than the other. If the OFF tab is in the ON location, it won't work, it'll just click past the time and not flip the paddle to ON.

Try this, turn the dial (NOT pulled out) around slowly and see if it flips the paddle to ON. Keep turning it, slowly, and see if it flips to OFF.
If it works while you're "helping it" then it should work automatically. If it doesn't, maybe the gear is damaged and it can't move past a certain point.

Does the time move? Do you hear the motor running? I've seen the motors go bad. The manual flipping will work then, but the motor isn't running the clock around.

Lights not coming on at set time.

You posted under T101 Intermatic box timer.
If you have different timer, instructions below will not apply, so add a comment whith model numenr or description of timer.

1) Click manual override on-off to see if Load turns ON, and that override snaps crisp and clean and is not sluggish or hard to move.
If override is not functioning well, then timer is bad. Buy new timer.
2) If dial is rotating, note current time, and watch if dial is keeping correct time over full day.
If dial is running slow, the buy T100 series 125Volt clock motor.
3) If dial is keeping good time, then tripper might be worn and need replacement

Link below shows Intermatic T100 series parts:

4) Add a comment for more free help.
Also take advantage of fixya phone service.
For a price, fixya expert speaks with you over phone while you work on timer, or any do-it-yourself project.

If you have different timer, look at link below to help identify timer.
Leviton Timers:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Leviton-timers.html

Leviton 6124 timer instructions:
Timer comes with plastic protector over display >> remove protector to see display.
Large button is manual override.
After timer is wired, push override to make sure Load turns ON and OFF.

Timer has 3 small buttons located below manual override used for programming
Display is divided into 24-hours with am times on left and pm on right.
24 Hour day is divided into 1/2 Hour segments
Each 1/2 hour must be set for ON or OFF

Start by pushing left-side event-cursor-advance-button and it scrolls down each 1/2 Hour.
Once you arrive at 1/2 hour > make decision if you want timer ON or OFF for that half hour.

Press event-set-reset-button in center to set ON-OFF for that 1/2 hour.

Press center event-set-reset-button and solid black rectangle fills in for that half hour.
Solid black rectangle means timer ON for that 1/2 Hour.

Once solid square is selected, press event-cursor-advance-button and cursor advances again and starts filling in black rectangles for each 1/2 Hour period.
Keep filling in black rectangles for all times you want timer ON.

When you reach 1/2 Hour period you want timer OFF, then press center event-set-reset-button so that no black rectangle is visible for that 1/2 hour.
No black rectangle means timer is OFF for that half hour.

To set current time, use right-side time-advance-button.
Press and hold time-advance and time cursor advances down through the am and then pm hours.
Stop cursor at current time, and timer is ready.

I have the EJ351 model and when it is programmed the lights come on at the desired time; but it never turns the lights off. Manually it works fine and turns the lights on and off.

http://www.intermatic.com/products/timers/consumer%20indoor%20timers/in-wall%20timers/ej351c.aspx
See the manual

I think you forgot to set the OFF time that corresponds with the ON time, or your on-off times conflict with each other

Make a chart of you on off times

Clear programming
After setting present time,
Rotate dial clockwise to first ON time, push button in to set ON time
Rotate dial counterclockwise to first OFF time, push button to set OFF time

Repeat this up to 8 times >>> but don't overlap your ON-OFFs

Cannot set timer properly

This timer only works with incandescent light bulbs. It does not work with CFL's (compact flourscent light bulbs). Intermatic model ST01C will work with CFL's and LED's. I ordered one today from WestsideWholesale.com. They had the best price.
