My new installed psp analog stick doesn't work

simple, get a replacement joystick module and install it on your psp. i did a couple. the psp really isnt that intimidating to take apart. compared to an xbox 360 or playstation

Analog sticks do wear out over time, unless your psp is under a year old, you can either send it to sony for 90 fix or fix it yourself through purchasing a new one from amazon. If it is under a year old then it could get repaired for free but only if you can support the fact that it was a faulty analog stick and not an accident.

On this kind of error, I recommend that you bring your psp to a service center to further check that contol analog stick.

Try calibrating your PSPs analog stick, here's how: 1. Go to Settings>System Settings 2. With the System Information screen displayed, rotate your analog stick in a circular motion (clockwise and counter clockwise). This will adjust the analog stick's range of motion. 3. Exit the Settings then run your game and test the analog stick. (it should be working well by now)

most of the time when you think that your joystick is messing up its really just the psp's motherboard that is messing up.

as a sony certified technician, i can tell you that these types of problems are caused be what we call a "false Contact". When the psp's analog stick does not touch the motherboard component, the analog stick auto scrolls down. If it auto scolls up then is just dirt biuld up. But if it scrolls down, make sure the screws on the back of the psp are FULLY tightened so that way the analog sticks makes contact with the motherboard. u better change ur analog bcoz ther may be some fault internal connections that might cause such problem

Sticking on an analog stick is a very common thing on a PSP. If you have bought it within a year and haven't tampered with it, send it back to Sony. They will fix it free of charge. If it's outside of the 1 year warranty, you could always open the system and clean it out yourself. But I don't recommend this unless your warranty is up. then it is a internal fault is it under warranty if so id take it back and try your analog stick on the replacement one then your see if it your machine or the analog ?
