I removed the fan trying to get at the element which needed replacing.
i know now that this wasn't necessary (and that i should have made a note of how it was connected).
there are 3 possible connections on the fan, 2 down to the bottom left and one to the top right.
there are two leads to connect to these and i'm assuming if i get it wrong i'll short out the fan motor.
any help for an idiot would be appreciated.

Often the electrical wiring diagram is attached to one of the inside panels of the unit. Might you try to locate if your model has such. Additionally, I suspect that the fan motor with 3 terminals would either have:
If the diagram is not available in the body panel, perhaps you could contact tdspares.co.uk and request for one. With the diagram, you could trace the wires and therefore connect them as required.

The two bottem left side connections are would be consists on two wires combined,And the right top single wire connection is for ground.And have a green colour.Therefore, Attach two combine cable connection left bottom side and single wire would connect at right top(green).
