My skype IM is not delivered yet. why does this happen? it;s been a week :(

There is a "forward" or "send to group" or it's coming from them off of a cc or bcc in their outbound email

Skype keeps the messages on its servers until the person logs in and reads them. If you want to send other types of messages use an email client. Even if emails are delivered to an email address, they will not be read until the person logs in.

For Skype to deliver the message, the other party must connect to their Skype account.

if you are probably trying to cal your friends out of skype, so you need skype credit to call outside. Just in case you add your friends(who are on skype too) to skype, you can call for free.

You can add contact following these steps:

In the menu bar, click Contacts > Add a Contact.

Enter the Email, Phone number, Full name or skype name(if you already know your friend's name on skype) of the person you want to add. If the Skype account of the person you wish to add is displayed, click Add below the contact.

If more than one Skype account matches your search:
Click View for a list of matching Skype accounts and click Add contact next to the one you wish to add. Before the contact can be added, you must send a contact request to that person. Enter some text to introduce yourself and click Send request. The contact will be added to your contact list, but will appear offline until they accept your request. Once the person agrees to your request, they will be added to your Contact list. Then you can make free calls and free video calls to that person.

let anything happen. Simply go to start button control panel add remove programs and uninstall skype from there. Download fresh skype by searching free download skype in google. Install it and you will be able to use it again.

this can only happen due to internet connection issues, check for any firewalls blocking skype

If you are sending an instant message to a contact who's offline, then you will see the rotating grey circle. Once that contact goes online, he/she will get your instant message.
However, if both of you are online and your messages still can't get through, try calling your contact Skype to Skype to get the message through. I don't know the exact explanation behind it, but that's what we often do and it works.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the IM client.
