VIA needs to stop making USB chipsets... lol... Are you sure you have USB legacy support enabled? Moreover, the default Windows XP drivers are not error free when used with a VIA Rev 5 USB Host Controller because it's actually a VIA Enhanced Host Controller. Every time I have USB problems with the VIA Enhanced Host Controller I go to there website, download the driver, and it usually fixes the problem.

USB 2.0 (VT6202, VT6212, VT6214/L)

Moreover, I have plugged in a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse and Windows XP could not detect it until I installed Microsoft Intellipoint; if you can believe that. Try also installing the mouse drivers as well...

Good, let me know what that does for you... Also be careful not to overload a USB port without a independently powered hub; without proper voltage and amperage the data signal deteriorates.

Rarely, usually the devices just fail when they are all using one port; a micro-drive tip the power balance off. Is the USB controller assigned a IRQ in the Plug-n-Play settings in the system BIOS?

Motherboard usb internal and external doesnt function?

Use a live Linux CD. Ubuntu for eg. If the problem persists, you should have to go and replace your motherboard.

Internal and external usb doesnt function but the motherboard its stil well

Have you checked that the outputs on the motherboard are still plugged in? If they are next step is to check that you do not have a dry solder on the board.

Onboard usb problems

i think the capacitor near by the USB port is burned out so there is no power storage or power supply for the USB ports so just have a check with the capacitors near by the USB ports if you are good at recognizing that problem ..
otherwise just contact the motherboard technician ....
he will have a check and if the capacitor is burned out he will replace it ....

any doubts reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you
