Just download print the GRYPHON quick reference guide (print on laser printer without zooming) and program the scanner to factory default.
Otherwise, you will need to download the FULL reference manual. Then print out the relevant programming barcodes that will remove the last character.

2. Go to Page 80, Section titled GS1-128 AIM ID.
a. Scan the Enter/Exit Programming Mode code.
b. Scan the GS1-128 AIM ID=Disable code.
c. Scan the Enter/Exit Programming Mode code.
The only thing I can assume is the problem is is that the COM ports have become mixed up. I believe the scanner needs to use COM3 and it could be that this may be being used by another device. We had this problem a while back and no matter how many times we re-added the device it would take a COM port higher than 4 or 5 and not any lower. If you can reset all the COM ports and re-add the scanner device then that should work.
Hmmm are these falling apart after 2 years?
A customer of ours seems to be having that
problem for about 1 or 2 months.
Close to our date.
I saw you are from America. We're located in Europe. I havn't seen it yet, but got told the red light / beam isn't rectangluar. Seems it more V shaped. Like at 1 end a piece is missing.
A new pc installation didn't help. We still want more information before we drive there. So we know what to take with us.
The clean the glass every now and then, so it should be clean. Wondering if it is the scanner if there is a led broken or some lose wiring or something. Then they probably need to buy a new one.
