Need 2 get wireless working dont have a cd port 2 put the cd in... trying 2 get wireless for my xbox and lab top..

You don't need the CD that came with your router to set it up. That usually just has a step by step program but it's just as easy to do manually. Connect the Ethernet cable from your modem into the internet port of your router. then plug you laptop into one of the switch ports using another Ethernet cable. Now on the lab top go to start, run, and type cmd and hit enter. Type ipconfig into the command prompt and hit enter. This will give you your ip address and also the default gateway address, which is the address of the wireless router. Now open your default internet browser and type http://(your default gateway here) for example if your default gateway was you would type and hit enter. You should see a login prompt now, the default username and password are usually listed on the bottom of the router or in the documentation that came with it. After you login you should see different pages to set up your router you can look through everything but the main things you have to change are the admin password for logging into the router and password protect your wireless network using wpa adding a password for new devices that want to connect to your network. And you can change the ssid, which is what shows up on devices so you know its your network that your connecting to.

Please help to find the motherboard drivers and bios update for the said gateway computer. thanks.

Access the manufacturer's web-site:
and search for your model-number.

Note that any Gateway older than a few years ago is impossible to find drivers for -- Gateway sold all the inventory of parts and the service-contracts to a company that went bankrupt. The bankruptcy-trustee has "wound-up" that company, and tried to sell the inventory of parts, and all the software device-drivers, to maximize the value to the creditors of that company.

I formated the laptop and since then i can't browse with cable unless with wireless

Here's what reformatted your computer...most of the drivers were installed automatically. ... your N.I.C card was left out.... (Network Interface Card) Go to your manufacturers site i.e. DELL, HP, Gateway... {} etc... go to "Support" and "Drivers" want to download "Network" drivers. Do this, and restart your computer...

Gateway m350wvn sound

R U running XP or vista?
Be sure to make the difference when selecting drivers. Normally the drivers will be in a zip package. Download, unzip and then goto control panel - system and uninstall devices and then "action" scan for changes. This will reinstall the drivers from the unzipped location, ( U may have to tell it where they are). Good Luck
