Hi,

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Scans always show registry problems. Can I clean for free &fix?I have a Gateway win 8 desktop, and 6 drivers out of date, no sound

You should update the drivers. It's easy -- Windows will do it for you -- and that may solve your sound problem. My guess, though, is the sound problem is hardware-based. If you plug your external speakers into an analog audio jack, for example, it automatically shuts off other speakers.

Don't mess with the registry yourself unless you know what you're doing.

There are "free" programs that promise to fix registry errors. I don't recommend them. They present a list of recommended fixes and ask you to click OK. Unless you know something about the registry and can uncheck listings that you know shouldn't be removed, you can wind up wiping out something that's crucial to one of your programs -- or to Windows! If you do decide to use one of those programs, be SURE to make a copy of your registry and also set a restore point so you can go back to what you had before if something gets broken.

One exception: broken links can be removed safely.

My next book only has sound if i use headphones

Don't just turn off the headphones, unplug them.. the jack disables external sound when it's inserted.

A hard reset of the NextBook might restore sound to the internal speakers if the above wasn't the cause.

Pc headphone volume driver

3 Ports on the side- Pink,Green,Black
Pink Port is LineIn for an external device player jack

Green Port is LineIn for the Microphone jack
Black Port is LineOut for Headset or External Speakers jack

Plug the Green jack on Headphone - into the Black Port on the laptop.
b) Go to Control Panel and open - RealTek HD Audio manager
On the top of Page are 3 Icons -

One Icon is labelled Speakers One is for Digital optics, one is for Mic,
The Speakers Icon is misleading as it is also for Headphones (LineOut)

Select Speaker Icon and make it Default. Also tick Full Range - Front LR
Ignore the 4 vertical Analog Icons on the right side.

You should now have Headphone sound if your volume is not Muted.

Click start control panel on the left select hardware and sound then select manage audio devices then recording you should see a microphone right click select enable windows 7

Click start control panel on the left select hardware and sound then select manage audio devices then recording you should see a microphone right click select configure speech recognition then you will see earphones with a speaker among a list set up a microphone headset with microphone then next and next again you should see your earphones with microphone being configured Click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it or select audio from the microphone drop down list make sure you have the right one selected and in the volume box make sure the microphone box has a tick in it or select the voice tab make sure that you have the right media selected also select volume make sure the box for microphone has a tick in it or you might have to depending on your operating system
Click start Control Pannel
Click on Hardware and Sound

Click on Sound
then you devices should come up ; speakers, Digital Audio, and headphones

plug your headphones in
then select headphones

at the bottom it will say set as default
select that!!

then when you disconnect your headphones it automatically switches to the speakers and when you plug them back in it automatically will switch to headphones

I have a t3303. my external speakers suddenly stopped working. they work perfectly on my cd player and my headphones work perfectly in the headphone jack on hte tower?????

Check the settings for your speakers in the sound settings. It is possible that the settings have changed. It is also possible that the sound card has went bad in that port.

There is no sound on my computer

1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.‌ If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2. Expand the Sound, video and game controllers category. If a sound card is listed, you have one installed. If no sound card is listed, You will need to install one.

3. Right-click the name of the sound card, and then click Properties.
4. Click the General tab, and then look in the Device status box to identify problems with the sound card.
• Make sure your speakers are plugged into a working power source and turned on.
• Make sure your speakers are correctly connected to the computer.
On your speakers, find the cable that plugs into your computer. Make sure that the speaker cable is plugged into the speakers and the correct jack on the computer.
• Make sure that the speaker volume is not muted or turned down too low.

1. Open Volume Control by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then, under Audio Devices and Sound, clicking Adjust system volume.
2. Under Main Volume, move the slider up or down to raise or lower the volume.
NoteSome mobile PCs have an external volume control on the outside of the case. If you're using a mobile PC, check the external volume control. • Make sure your headphones are not plugged into the line out (headphone) jack of your sound card or computer (unless you want to be listening with headphones rather than speakers). When you plug in headphones, most computers automatically cut the sound to the speakers.

thank you

My laptop model is Aspire Acer 4720z. It doesn't have a sound unless you attach headphones or an external speaker

If you press the FN key + F8 key they are the ones that toggles the speakers on and off. There is nothing wrong with your speakers.
God Bless Greg
