Can't get any response when trying to download music

make sure you have an internet connection and that the ipod is synced to your own account

ok get i tunes and start from there then when you got your music downloaded to itunes go to the i tunes folder on the hdd and all your music is there to put onto your sony walkman

try reseting the device its usualy a small pinhole on the back or side of the device try holding that in for about 10 seconds
try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilitys from the manufacturers website

also try and go download the drivers for it so that you can try and detect the player. If that does not work try plugging it into someone elses computer and see if it works. That way yo can figure out if it is your computer or the player. Sorry I could not be of more help.

I remembered that I had another problem with Windows Media 11 that seemed impossible to fix until I found somewhere that uninstalling or rolling back WM11 to the previous version then reinstalling fixed the issue. I decided to give that a try with this problem we're having and sure enough it worked. The Walkman is now recoginized as a Portable Device under Device Manager and in My Computer it is displayed as a Walkman and not a removable disk.

All you have to do is use add/delete software, delete or rollback WM 11 and then either use the Sony disc with WM11 or download a new version. All together it only took a few minutes and I'm back in business. No music or playlists were lost. Try it and let me know if it works for you.

did you buy it brand new or 2nd hand...

if its 2nd hand try deleting some things or try formating the ps3..

if its new, change it or return it

I'd say, either (on the sync tab) right mouse click it and choose the refresh option. If that dosn't work; try to used Winamp instead.

Restart it and do it all over agian make sure you downloaded everything right and is correctly syncing your divice if that still doesnt work try and just drag and drop the songs

Brother Format your mmc. It seems that your MMC area needs it. Then after will get full space. Nonformated area doesn't response in any system.

try to open the device so right click on start, on your desktop, and click explore, and at the find your device on the left, and look through the files, and find what is taking up your memory, and delete it
