Question about Kenmore 24 in. 15932 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

My dishwasher so my dishwasher seemed to have quitworking during a cycle. like breaker triped or something. i checked the breaker and thats fine. it seams like its hard wired in though. Would that be right? and is there a fuse or something that could/would blow during a wash? I dont know what model it is or anything it was in the house when i got it. The dishwasher is built in and it seems decently old its a kenmore ultra wash and it has like 10 buttons for the differend cycles on the left and a dial on the right.

Sounds like the fuse on the control blew. you can replace the fuse for around $20 or you can cut and splice the wires for free. If that doesnt work then you may have a loose conection in your junction box under the dishwasher.

Viking dishwasher VUD040 keeps tripping the circuit breaker during drying cycle

Are you sure the breaker is big enough to carry the Amps needed to start the drying cycle. You know that due to inductance it takes almost twice as many amps to start a motor as it does to run it.Find out how many Watts it uses and divide it by 120VAC and it will give the maximum amps it will draw. See if the breaker is high enough amp for it. A 25 Amp breaker should be efficient. I hope this helps you and if I can help you in anyway in the future let me know.

Neff dishwasher S4132W0GB/11. Electrical fault - blows circuit-breaker during the cycle. Re-starts, but does it again after a few minutes. Machine is 1993, but otherwise works fine.

Hello
Check that there is no water leaking out on to a motor or electrics, if not then check that the motor is not leaking power to earth when it runs.
Thanks

If the unit won't start and there are no signs of power make sure you're dishwasher is getting power. If so then likely you will need a new fuse which if you go to the link below, you can download a video to show you how to replace the fuse on your dishwasher.

My kenmore Elite stopped working after my daughter open the door during a cycle. There seems to be no power. Circuit breaker is fine. Any thoughts? Thanks

Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

If your dishwasher is on a wall switch, someone may have shut it off, Your dishwasher could be pluged into a Daisy chaned GFI, check all your GFI in the kitchen and make sure none are triped. The home Fuse Box, make sure the braker is not triped.

After all that has passed, there is a power conection box under the machine. Make sure the power is off from the breaker box or the machine is unpluged before inspecting under the machine or trying to repair this machine.

Check you motor coupler by tilting machine back so you can get under. Look under machine, around where the center of the machine was. If you see a black powder, you most likely have a bad coupler. You may even find pieces of black rubber.

GE Triton not working

Jitterbugclu-
I may have the solution. Husband just turned off power to dishwasher via circuit breaker. Waited around 30 minutes.
Restored power and Triton came back with normal lights.
I just ran a cycle and all was well. Hope this helps you.
My fingers are crossed because I don't know what happened but did read on another site that this should be the first thing you try before expen$ive repairman.
Reply back if it works!

Diswasher motor making noise during wash cycle

It could be the impeller on the motor. The impeller fits over the shaft of the motor and might have split/broken up. That funny noise is probably the shaft spinning inside the damage impeller. Fortunately the impeler is fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. I believe there are one or two parts/covers to remove that are held in by a roughly half dozen torx screws.
