Sorry my friend, somehow your administrative rights have been changed in the registry for that user profile. A quick fix would be to login to the System Administrator Profile and change the settings from there. This profile can only be accessed in "Safe Mode" because it's not a standard profile. When your computer first boots press F8 to get the alternative start menu. From there boot Windows in "Safe Mode with Networking Support." Select the "Administrator" profile and go right to the Internet Options menu. From there you can create a new user profile and copy over the documents you don't want to loose. Then you'll be loggin under a clean profile; you will have to change your desktop and window preferences again but you shouldn't have anymore problems with administrative rights. Don't delete the old profile documents until you are sure everything has been transfered over to the clean profile; all user profiles are stored in C:\Documents and Settings

You're victim of some kind of mailware that restrict administrative rights it is certainly the cause of your email problem too.
Download DIALAFIX
run it and go to policies, then scan, normally a line should appear, select remove, reboot, retry.
it should then allow you to access and perhaps your mail problems will be solved already..

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

It is possible the cookies have been disabled in your browser. You need to find where your internet settings are in the control panel and make sure cookies are on. I had the same problem and activating cookies in the internet options fixed it.

Can I set Yahoo as my default server for emails

A default email account is the account that your computer will open when you click on an "Email Us" or "Contact Us" link when you are on the Internet. Your computer is pre-programmed to open the Outlook or Windows Mail email servers when you click one of these links. If you prefer to send emails with your Yahoo! Mail account instead, change the default settings.

Click the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel." Select "Internet Options" from the "Control Panel" window that opens. Click the "Programs" tab. Click the drop-down menu next to "E-mail." Select "Yahoo! Mail." Click "OK." Yahoo! Mail is now your default mail application. Hope this helps.

When try to sign in it says cookies won.t allow it i neeed access to my email what do i do cookies seem to be preventing me from logging on to get to my email

I assume you are using Internet Explorer as your browser. Open the Control Panel > Internet Options > General > and below the general tab, locate "browsing history", select "delete browsing history on exit", click "Delete" > "Apply" > "Ok" (you have to do this while the internet explorer is closed, otherwise all the cookies and temporary files will be unable to delete).

Now open the internet explorer and access the site again. Hope it's gone now and you can access your mails.

If in case the problem persists, you need to use a system cleaner, (click here to download a cleaner-freeware) or run the disk clean-up wizard, open "My Computer" right-click C: > "Properties" > "Disk Cleanup" > on the disk cleanup wizard dialog box options, select the applicable location/programs including Temporary internet files and Temporary files, click "Ok".

[If you are using another browser like Mozilla firefox, googlechrome, etc..etc.. it's best and easiest to run the program mentioned above, but always run the program while the browser is closed]

That'll definitely fix your problem.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Some times when I try to send an e-mail I get an oops message #003, #008. How can I fix this Karen Unger

If you are sending an email with an attachment, the attachment may be too large. Make sure that the attachment is less than 20MB.

If you have an anti-virus software or firewall installed in the computer, try the following:
  1. Click the Start button in your operating system's taskbar.
  2. Select Settings, and click Control Panel.
  3. Open Internet Options, and click the Advanced tab.
  4. Remove the check next to Enable third party browser extensions under the Browsing header.
Hope this helps. Please take a moment to leave a comment if you find this solution helpful. Your feedback is important and very much appreciated.

I can't access the ymail page..when i click the log-in in yahoo page my browser will have a message server cannot be found...i've tried clicking it many times but it always give me that message...what...

you should reset your browser setting. to do this, go to control panel -> select internet options, go to advance tab and press reset, if the problem does not resolve, again go to control panel -> select internet options, go to privacy tab and press sites button, this will open a window, check there for urls registered. if there are some urls added, press remove all button and close the internet options and try to login again. I hope, your problem will be solved.

Why yahoo mail on my pc not open

You probably mean why when you want to send an email, your Yahoo email program doesn't automatically load as your default client?
If that is the case, all you have to do is download the Yahoo messenger.
Once its installed on your system, you should go to Internet Options on your Control Panel, and select the Programs tab.
Locate the E-mail option, and click on the dropdown arrow next to it.
Select Yahoo as your default email client, and click OK to accept the changes.
Done.
The next time you want to send an email, Yahoo mail will open by default.

This is a very strange solution, hopefully someone can help you out more than me, though whenever I have problems that are strange especially with microsoft email or anything internet related I delete my temporary internet files and reboot, and the problems go away.

There are two ways to remove the temporary internet files, through internet options or disk cleanup.

Internet Options can be found in Control Panel or in tools in Internet Explorer.
Disk Cleanup can be found by going to the Start Menu, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Cleanup.
After doing a disk cleanup it wouldn't hurt to do a defrag on the hard drive. Disk Defragmenter can be found in the same location as Disk Cleanup.

Personally I use the free Mozilla Thunderbird and haven't had any trouble. Of course most workplaces use microsoft products and you have no choice.
