I get to the screen requesting me to view the wifi indicator, which is orange, then get the above error reading. Any suggestions on how to fix it?
Try to uninstall the Lexmark software. To do that, on your computer, press on Start > All Programs > Lexmark > S300 Series > Uninstall Lexmark S300 Series.
Then download an updated driver online. Just click on the link: Lexmark S305

The books for most printers are so useless to us they may as well be burnt. I get fed up with useless info. Very rarely of help. My first suggestion if you are running the correct driver for your OP, and your printer was previously fine, is to check if the printer queue is blocked up with too much memory from print jobs.
Go to the quick launch icon in task bar at bottom of your screen, right click on the printer icon, and bring up printer jobs window, scroll down to cancel print jobs. Now, once done, turn off your printer. Let it sit off to reset it. Turn it back on and try to reprint what you want. If this fails, you may have its preferences accidentally switched to work online or something else. Check it is not. My friends canon was accidentally set to this and it would only print off internet, and would not communiacte offline until we checked the work offline preference in the preferences collumn. Post back if no go. Cheers,

Error 1203 on a Lexmark is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad
or the printer cartridge Slot is bad... I would suggest you to try
cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the
printer and try again..
If that doesn't work just call up their support number and check for replacement..

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by
resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer
from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and
re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns
on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again
once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on
the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).
If that doesn't help, try the steps below:
You may also try to update your printer driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/guXLhl. Select your operating system, download and execute the file.
