Question about Car Audio & Video
We don't have an authorized service center nearby, but there is an authorized dealer. Maybe they would help me and use one of their remotes. I know this sounds stupid, but should there be a light on the top of the remote so that I know if there is any power? I'm assuming so because there is a small buld there. I've tried numerous new batteries and it still isn't working. Without the remote I can't enter the code just like you said.
I appreciate your help. I looked over all 57 pages of the help you've given people and saw how many times you've answered the same question about the code. You must have the patience of a saint to keep repeating the instructions!
I don't think the remote has a red light. Unless the bulb you are talking about is on the actual top where the buttons are, if so, then maybe it does. I just can't remember right now. The bulb in the front of the remote is infrared and that light is not visible to the human eye.
See if any service center will take a quick look at the remote for you for free, just to tell you if it works or not. Most shops have a infrared detector that they can just point the remote at and press a button and let you know if the infrared is working. If it is putting out infrared light then the remote is probably good.
