Question about MotorGuide Electrical Supplies
My trolling motor is 3 years old and recently began squeaking where the rotating arrow is housed. Now the foot control is not turning smoothly.I tried spraying wd-40 around the rotating arrow but no luck. Please help.
Check the beaing locted where the inner shaft passes thru the outer tubing below top of motor

Can't offer a solution but did want to mention that WD-40 is a penetrating lubricant, not a lubricant. Try it yourself; just spray a film on anything that is around room temperature, you'll find that it evaporates fairly soon- within a day or two. It's great for loosening stubborn nuts and bolts but not for the long run.
