Joystick not working (gets detected but keys dont respond)

Hi I have a Asus M2A-VM motherboard with ATHLON X2 4400+ processor. I am using Qindows XP with SP3

I got a joystick a few days back but it does not work. It gets detected but the keys do not respond. Evne in the calibrate option nothing happens when I press the keys.

I tried this joystick on a laptop and it worked without issues (in the first try)

That Motherboard has 10 USB 2.0 ports, I am assuming a VIA USB Chipset? Moreover, I'm assuming you've tried using a different port in the back of your computer, does your system notify you when you plugin the device that it was detected and is being installed? Who is the manufacturer of your controller? There driver that came with the CD may be out dated, try going to the manufacturers website and download a more recent driver. Some older drivers are not compatible with SP2+

Hi, I've got the asus p5n-em hdmi motherboard but it doesn't recognize any monitor I plug in. What's wrong?

If it won't see any moniter then it's turned off in BIOs or it's dead. which means you will have to go to BIOS and turn on the built in video adapter by pressing DEL when booting up and going into BIOS and settings and turn on built in VGA Video or buy a new AGP or PCI 2.0 Grafics card and turn off the on board video.

The first thing you have to realize is that this is a software problem....If you have the drivers that came with the joystick then you will need to install them on your system. Otherwise you will have to update your Operating SYSTEM SOFTWARE from THE Micosoft website.
