Sandpaper will not stick to pad

Use a quality adhesive backed sanding disk, and clean the pad area with isopropanol/alcohol. This should allow the adhesive disk to stick.
I recommend 3M adhesive disks.

Sand paper keeps slipping help

I don't know what type of sander you are speaking about it just says generic ALL PORTER CABLE SANDERS. You got to be a little more specific. If it is a disk sander use 3M disk adhesive. It is a contact cement. spread some on the rubber backing disk with your hand, let dry then apply the sanding disk. After the disk is clogged, peel it off and apply another disk. when the adhesive won't hold anymore disks, re-apply the adhesive.

Install luan over concretehow to secure plywood screws or glue?

You are much better off using an adhesive rather than screws. Home depot sells several good flooring adhesives, usually in aisle 8 that will do the trick just fine

I just bought the magellan maestro, and I can't get the suction cup to stick. The surface is clean and we wet it, but it loosens rapidly.

The GPS unit comes with an adhesive disk that must be installed on the surface where you want to place the GPS unit. The suction cup will only work with this adhesive disk. Once the adhesive disk is installed, the suction cup will hold. Here's the instructions magellan web site...

  1. Clean and dry the dashboard where the adhesive disk is going to be installed using enclosed alcohol pad.
  2. Remove the protective paper cover from the bottom of the adhesive disk; place the bottom of the adhesive disk firmly on the dashboard.
  3. Apply even pressure on the top of the adhesive disk for a secure fit (Allow 24 hours to cure).
  4. Place suction cup mount on top of adhesive disk.
  5. Firmly press suction cup mount down flat against the adhesive disk, press the suction cup lever down to secure the suction cup to the adhesive disk.

I recently got a new car and had to transport my GPS to my my new car. Problem is the mount that you put on the dash will no longer stick to it. How do I fix this problem?

Hello Hoshiko,

You don't say what kind of mount you are using. There are a couple different kind. One kind uses an adhesive (like double sided sticky tape) to secure the mount to the dashboard. For this kind of mount you can simply purchase some new adhesive tape to apply. This is available from most hardware or electronics stores.

The second type of mount uses a suction cup type device to secure the GPS to the dashboard. For this type you will want to make sure you are attaching the mount to a smooth, nonporous surface. Make sure that the area you are attempting to afix the suction cup to is clean and dry. Make sure that the suction cup itself is clean and moisten it with just a little bit of water before attempting to get the mount to stick.

If you still can't get the mount to stick to the dashboard you might need to look at other mounting options or purchase a replacement mount.

Best Regards,
Ken

350 disk

The adhesive disk is for attaching to a dashboard, not a windshield.  The unit is supplied with a suction cup for use on a windshield.
