many ovens are made to click like that and nothing is wrong with burner oven, its a safety measure to let you know gas is on or escaping. I f you turn the knob bac or forward a little bit it will go off and flame will still burn. Other words you may have a dirty spark igniter , see pics
I have had this same issue with continuous sparking after a burner was lit. Problem 1. Wet or dirty ignitors/burners. Solution: clean and/or dry (I assume this resolves electrical issues). This has usually solved the problem Problem 2. Stuck or dirty control switch. Solution: remove knobs and spray electrical-cleaner into switches. AMAZING... no more clicking plus burners now burn hotter when set to HI. I assume this frees-up the movement of the switch to prevent it thinking you are pushing it ON... and thus asking for spark... plus greater range of switch and/or higher flame settings available once lit. A no-cost miracle! ( I used "PureTronics" brand Electrical Contact Cleaner spray can, 1 sec, 2X). Mike S
I have the same problem especially with the center burner, but now am having increasing difficulty with two other burners. Those will eventually stay lit if I depress the knob for 20 - 30 seconds. The center burner will not stay lit, even when keeping the knob depressed for 2 - 3 minutes!
These have flame failure technology so the gas will cut out if there is no flame. The thermocouples do this by keeping the gas valve open once they have heated up. This should only take 5-10secs though so any longer is probably an issue with the thermocouple
suspect problem is with the regulator on the gas bottle as it would be unusual for all burners to be faulty at the same time. try substituting a new regulator
