Re: cannot get Wii discs into the Wii console
Either there is a disc jammed in there, which in that case you will need to open it and get it out. There is also a possibility that your disc drive has broken. If it is under warranty, send it in. Always take advantage of the warranty. If your not under warranty, you will have to replace the drive. Check your loacal game stores to see if they do console repairs. If not then you will have to find a palce that sells the drive you need and then install it.

Synching can be completed only if a compatible game disc is running in the console. Compatible game discs (such as Wii Fit) will display the Wii Balance Board icon on their packaging. The Wii Balance Board must be synced to each compatible game individually. These sync settings will be saved even after the console is turned off.
Follow these directions to sync the Wii Balance Board (so that it is recognized by the Wii console):
Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible game disc (such as Wii Fit) in the Wii console.
Use the Wii Remote to select the Disc Channel from the Wii Menu, then select "Start" to begin the game.
Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console.
Remove the Battery Cover on the bottom of the Wii Balance Board.
Press and release the SYNC button on the Wii Balance Board. The Power LED on the board will start blinking.
Press and release the SYNC button on the console while the Power LED on the board is still blinking.
The Power LED will stop blinking and light steadily once the synchronization is complete.
if by doesnt begin you do you mean doesnt read disc or fails to start game because if its doesnt read disc look for scratches on the disc if its doesnt initialize then it could be the disc drive itself is bad then go to http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/index.jsp
wow ur daughters mean! but for buying a replacement disc, i havent heard of a wii fit being sold without the board, u can try ebay but its unlikely. and as the disc has been physically damaged u won't be able to get nintendo to replace it either, (possibly speak to them nicely and they MIGHT replace it for a fee). if you wait a while, when more games come out that use the balance board, then nintendo may decide to sell wii boards and wii board compatible games seperately, but in all cases it seems that you may have to buy a new wii fit.
