If you're missing Skype calls because you can't hear the ringtone, it's time to crank up the volume. There are three different ways to increase the ringtone: within the Skype client, within your operating system's volume settings and by adjusting your physical speakers or headset. You might find it necessary to adjust all three settings to get the proper volume. You also must set your Skype status to "Available," because a "Busy" status disables the ring from incoming calls.
Launch Skype. Open the "Help" menu. Select "Options." Select "Audio Settings" from the left sidebar of the Options window. Find the "Speakers" listing. Uncheck the "Automatically Adjust Speaker Settings" box. Slide the blue volume slider to the right to increase the volume. Press the green play button to test the volume. Skype plays a default ringtone to test the sound. Adjust your computer's sound settings. Windows users, click the speaker icon in the taskbar located at the bottom right of your screen. Move the slider up to increase the volume. Mac users, open the "Apple" menu. Select "System Preferences" and click "Sound." Drag the slider to the right to increase the volume. Turn up the volume on your speakers or headset. Desktop speakers can be adjusted by turning the knob on the front of the main speaker. Headsets sometimes have a small button that can be pressed up and down to adjust the volume, depending on the model.
I'm sorry to know that the videos are playing back with low volume. I'll be glad to assist you with this. Make sure that the Camcorder is used with a fully charged battery. Increase the volume of the Camcorder using the Volume + - buttons and check if it increase or decrease. You can also try connecting the Camcorder to the Computer or to the TV and check if the transferred videos are playing with normal volume. There are no settings to be done in the Camcorder to increase the recording volume level. You can also backup the files, format the memory and capture a sample video recording and check if it helps. This should resolve the issue.
Seems like a known issue with the W902. Same here, dropped my w902 a few months back and the Walkman button and Volume up keys not workin now.
Walkman button not really an issue as you still can navigate to it via the menu system but no volume UP key is annoying. You can't increase volume especially when you volume it down. Power the w902 down and up, will reset volume to 6/10.
Solution: I came across a site where you can change volume without the volume up key.
1. Ensure you lock the phone (* and Contact key)
2. While holdingdown the disconnect button (the one that you switch the phone off) and camera button (on the right side, bottom button), pressing 7 will decrease volume while * key will increase volume.
You need to hold both button for 7 and * to work. Works great for me as I dont have to replace my phone, hope this help.
