Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV

Mitsubishi TV 62525 projection DLP TV

TV green light (timer light) blinks even after reset button is reset.. AND even after unplugged, and or reset button reset. This occured after a power outage...but has happened before (power outage) and just did the unplug routine. THIS time unplug did not work so did the reset, still no use. Checked the 'lamp reseat' process and is good there too. Have had it off for over 24 hours too, still no results.

I have a mitsubishi WD 62525 62" 2004. the green light blinks all the time. I reset the main power, and test the lamp at the store. (abt store illinois)

they said that fix it may be to expensive around $800.00,better buy a new one. I need some opinions about this. hgachicago@sbcglobal.net

I have the exact same problem.

I replaced my lamp and the green timer light remains on. I have unplugged the tv for days and it still will not stop flashing. Also tried the reset button and no change. I am thinking ballast but not sure.

Very same problem. I called Mitsubishi and they advised that I contact a repair person.

After buying two lamps (at a cost of $500.00) we had to call the Mitsubishi service man. He came out at a cost of $150.00 (his appearance fee), and told us right away (after taking out the lamp that we had newly installed) that the socket was smushed/smashed. He then went opened the set from the back and tooled around, and unsmushed/unsmashed the socket. We were so happy. On installing a lamp we all must shine a flashlight into the compartment so that we can see what this lamp is going to connect to. Just like a lightbulb, there is a socket on the left inside of the compartment that the lamp must plug into. From our dark vantage point we could not see this, and with the newly manufactured lamps, which are not the same configuration as the old, it is a very tight fit and this connection socket is vital -- or the set will not work. I wish they would have told us this. That lesson taught to us by the Mitsubishi service person cost us an additional $100. Well anyway, we are sharing it with you. Good luck. Maryland

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-62525 DLP has no picture

the lamp went out in our wd-62525. I replaced it and cleaned the filter, now it makes a strange noise every few minutes and the picture gets distorted, then it's fine.We have had this set for only 16 months and have had to replace the mother board. What do you think the problem may be?

Check power supplly make sure its not the fault in wht this will not turn on.

Unplug tv from wall wait 30 secounds and plug back in.

If that does not work you will need to have someone look at the powersupply.

My Mitsubishi tv model wd-62525 not on the light of timer is linking

If one light is blinking (lamp light?) remove and inspect lamp to make sure it is in correctly and not shattered. If the set has a recessed reset button on front (if set is unplugged and plugged back it should blink green for about 70 seconds and go out) you may have a issue there.

The model indicated here has a host of problems.

if the light just constantly blicks green and doesnt stop. You will need the" V26 DM repair kit " which will usually repair that issue. You can get the repair kit at the following link which includes the replacement capacitor and instructions

the dlp will most likely need a qualified mits repair center to take over for you. repairing that set is pretty involved. and the parts you would need are not available to the public.
on your 48" CRT projection check the DM module for 4 vented 1000mf 16v capacitors. replacement should get you tv working great
