Re: Margin Problem

Firstly make sure that the settings are correct on the computer then make sure that the printing preferences are correct i.e. the correct paper size. After this check the paper tray side guide are against the paper as when the paper is grabbed if the guides are not against the paper it can cause the paper to shift and cause the margin problem you are getting.

Hope this helps you
Thanks J

How to do borderless printing on HP laserjet 1022n?

the hp 1022 is not capable of printing edge to edge for that matter very very VERY few can. the problem is that the printer needs to be able to move the paper through the machine without distorting the printed image and this requires a LEAD EDGE usually about 3-5mm edge to edge down the long side of the paper the printer is able to get quite close to edge at 2-3mm either side but NOT EDGE to EDGE the only real way of accomplishing true edge to edge is to overprint and trim the final page to size.e.g. print on A3 and cut to A4

Hi, I rested my HP 1022n Printer, now with old IP address its not printing, how can get my printer new IP address ? and please tell me how can take Test report of same printer, i tried pressing Green(go)...

Every network printer or print server has a unique IP address associated with it. This address is either configured manually or set using an automatic network protocol such as the boot protocol, reverse address resolution protocol or zeroconf. You can normally find the IP address of a printer on the printer's control panel or by printing the configuration page. Select the printers and faxes tab from the control panel. Right click on the printer those you want to find the IP address and click properties. Then click on the ports tab to display the IP address of your printer.

On HP K5400 printer the Left margin for #10

See an online manual with instructions to change the print settings here., then open the document program that has the addresses in it and use the print preview and page setup to adjust the margins for the printing to 1/4', if they'll go down that low.

Bottom of page is cut off sometimes printing from vista computer

Hi- I'll try to solve this.

Go to the start menu and open the Control Panel. Double click on Printers. Right click the L7580 printer and choose "Printing Preferences" On the preferences window click on the "Advanced" tab. Make sure "Advanced Printing Features" is set to "Enabled" Under "Printer Features" turn "Minimize Margins" to "On"

This should solve the issue. If minimize margins is off, it will cut it off at the bottom.

Missing pages when printing

  1. one thing you can try is, what kind of usb cable do you have? this printer needs to have a high speed 2.0 usb, because laserjet printer send alot of information and a reg. usb is not going to work.
  2. Next you need to have the printer connected to a wall outlet, if you have the printer connected to a power strip, the printer doesnt get enough power thus you have the printer doesnt get constant power.
  3. finally, you can just remove and reinstall the printer software on to the computer.

Labels will not auto feed

Have you gone into your print driver and changes the settings there?
I am not sure with your inormation if you have changed the settings on the printer or in the driver.
What it sounds like is happening is that there is a mismatch between the printer and computer.
It may even be set so that it is looking for lables in a bypass tray.
Somewhere there is a mismatch in information as to where the labels are loaded.
Start at the driver properties page and confirm every step in your setup.
