Check to see if rear audio/video inputs work or not--DVD player etc.

If they do you may have a bad tuner in the set--a option would be to use a box if those work connected via one of sets of audio/video inputs on rear of set---bypass the tuner.

SOURCE: Digital Audio Output on TV

When using HDMI as the source, the Dolby Digital data will NOT be passed through. If you switch your cable box or satelitte receiver to PCM audio it will pass that through.

SOURCE: JVC GM-P420E Plasma no video green screen

the problem is with the micro processor on the back of the fx-1169a board (gm-p420ug) this is the board the inputs connect to . yours may be a diffrent p/n due to yours bein a "e" extention model. to repair this problem you need to remove the processor from the socket, remove the socket from the board and solder the processor onto the board. the processor is ic002 on the back side the problem is thermal in nature due to cold solder joints on the socket. i have fixed this problem many times by using this method.

SOURCE: 50" Vizio Plasma reads "No Signal" on all inputs?

Well, your TV is still under warranty. That's the good part.
The only thing I can recommend without voiding the warranty is leaving the TV unplugged for 30min. That way, the TV can reset itself and hopefully correct the problem.

If that doesn't solve the problem, it's time to use the VIZIO warranty.

Tv turns on to blue screen

This definitely means that you have no signal input to the TV. Check the signal input and switch to the source input that you provide, like cable or antenna.

Set top box

Hello,
If you are using only an antenna (digital tv) with no other company involved (cable dish, etc) you do not need any additional boxes to get the digital signal as the tv has a DTV input. All you need is connect the antenna, switch the tv to that input number, then use the remote to go into the settings area, change the antenna type to digital, then run a scan to find all available digital signals in your area. You should be all ok now!
Good Luck!

Input signal.

You should be able to connect the TV to the antenna without the tuner converter box. If you still do not get signal you may need some type of signal amplifier between the antenna and TV. Hope that helps.

When I hook my tv up to cable I get no signal, if I just hook it up with antenna it works fine. How do I get my tv to work with my cable cord? Would be nice to view cable channels instead of just 3...

nialbert,

It sounds like you are hooking the cable to the wrong input (digital instead of analog) or you do not have an analog input. If you do not have an analog input you could run the cable through a VCR to convert the signal to a separate audio/video signal and send it to the TV via an auxillary input. Without the model number I can't give you much more help.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

Hello, I am currently having a problem with my Audiosonic KM0767 Standard Definition Set Top Box. When we first bought it we wired up all the plugs and it worked great. We then moved onto Foxtel...

did you switch the TV's incoming signal to digital antenna? For the cable box it was probably set to cable antenna or analog inputs, not all TV's have automatic switching for antenna feeds. My Mitsubishi has 1 digital and 1 analog antenna input and the cable box will only work through the antenna input if it's the analog antenna input and it's tuned to channel 3 or 4, -(or through a seprate HDMI, PROSCAN, SVCR,or a yellow RCA plug input)- and when the analog antenna input is selected the TV will tune all analog cable channels that the cable service offers if a box is not used. likewise the TV will not tune any channels at all if it's set to digital antenna inputs. It will tune all local channels only when set to digital antenna inputs.

Since switch over my albaAlba ALDTR160 160GB Digital TV is giving a fragmented picture intermittently.. especially it seems when recording another programmme

The input signal is not strong enough. If you are using a splitter to route the signal to the recorder or routing the signal through the recorder that may be causing the signal level to drop. Connect the input (antenna or cable) directly to the TV and see if that solves the problem. If it does then you need a splitter that amplifies the signal level.

Proron pltv-4250 no signal

THE BEST INPUT ON YOUR SET IS THE HDMI INPUT.2ND THE COMPOSITE INPUT. 3RD THE COMPONENT INPUT. AND 4TH THE ANTENNA INPUT. MOST DISH BOXES HAVE AT LEAST THE COMPONENT OUTPUT. YELLOW IS THE VIDEO AND RED AND WHITE FOR AUDIO. USE RCA CABLES TO GO FROM BOX TO LCD SET. ON THE DISH BOX YOU CAN GO FROM ANTENNA OUT TO THE CABLE OR ANTENNA IN ON THE LCD. SWITCH TV TO CHANNEL 3. AND TURN YOUR DISH BOX ON.

Troubleshooting vcr

Usually one connects a RF [cable tv, Dish tv, antenna ] cable to the INPUT of VCR & a RF cable output to tv (antenna )INPUT .The reason is that if you are watching TV reception (Cable, Dish, etc) and you want to watch VCR tape, just push the tape in and it should start playing picture.
From what I understand that you are trying to say:: [ YOUR NEW TV ! ] you MUST connect to the RCA jacks, CABLE S with RCA plugs that come out of the VCR to the new TV [ INPUT & OUTPUT] jacks .When you ["" use input botton on VCR remote"" ] you are using a DIFFERENT input signal. You are not letting the TV know that you are changing the signal from RF(antenna, Cable, Dish, etc)to the RCA signal ["" I use my input botton on my vcr remote""]
