Question about Nintendo GameCube Console
Recently purchased a brand new Call for Duty 2 for GC. Regardless of what level my kids are at, after about 25 mins or so, the unit grey screens requiring a reset. This does not happen with any other game incl Zelda, Need for Speed, FIFA editions, NFL, NHL and others. The fact that it happens consistently on this particular game, and regardless of what level they're at, leads me to think it could either be an overheating issue (but why only on this game) or something else. Any suggestions for debug? Suggestions for getting around this so we can play the game?
It could be an issue of what Model machine you are using.. The way games are programmed, its not common, but sometimes operates differently depending on what model you are using.. If the game freezes on a friend's machine, then its a defective disc.. but if it only freezes on yours, it could be the model of your machine.. or specific machine having a hard time to read the machine... I'd suggest trying to clean the lens, maybe with a Mini Disc Lens Cleaner, and if that doesn't help... It could... MAYBE... be an issue with the memory card.. games have been known to be twitch depending on the memory card... especially third-party memory cards... the official Nintendo cards are very reliable, and have no issues... but if its a third-party company made memory card, they have been known to have many random issues, and are basically unreliable.. If you have a third party memory card, try getting an official Nintendo memory card and see if it does the same thing...

I've played that game before and there is a cheat to make it grey if you beat easy mode. I don't really get the point of the cheat but that's what it does. Maybe it's just a glitch. Sorry if that was irrevelant. I'm pretty sure that would just be the game itself.
