Hah same thing happened to me.. but sucks really.. If the warranty is still in effect go on MAC support go to tech chat tell them what happened but don't say the cat deal or they might void warranty just say keys just wore out after constant use because you use keybinds for computer games.. So if the warrenty is intact they will send it to you for free if not it will cost like 20 bucks.. and ask them to send a guide on how to install the replacement keyboard if you dont know how.. but if they dont you can always youtube a tutorial video on how to install a replacement keyboard its really simple I did it for my Gateway Fx and they are very hard to replace keyboards with but I'm sure a mac will be easy.

Hope this helps

F1 setup does not work, computer wont boot

This could be due to several things. If the USB keyboard is not enabled, or sometimes even when it is, it may not register in the boot startup. If you have a PS2 keyboard around that you can borrow (old round plug...usually purple), you may be able to use the key and start 'er up again.

Keybvoard ixs typ/imng exstra .letterxs

This can be caused by a number of things, would be helpfull to know if you are using a laptop or a desktop and if desktop what sort of keyboard. IF this is a laptop, then my first thought is that it seems to me it hits mostly closeby keys, like B and V or S and X. On laptops there is a touch sensitivity setting. Use your help and support option to find out how as they are different in every laptop and you did not specify a model. Also use compressed air to blow out the keyboard as you may have a piece of dust etc under that one key making it activate sooner than the others or making it sort of overlap to the closeby keys making them active as well as what you hit.
If this is not a laptop, then please specify the brand of keyboard, but try the compressed air either way, I suspect this is merely a case of dust.

Pleaset let me know if this helped:)

Need a manual w/directions to use my Microsoft Natural Erg 4000

There's really no solution but no use in proceeding to look for documentation that isn't available. Thanks tho. There isn't a manual. There's a limited help section for programming some keys in the control panel/keyboard file or thru the start, programs, keyboard, etc. so with the help of a member here I realized I'm just going to have to make due with what Microsoft has provided. I doubt if I'll ever again try to get help from Microsoft's help or support web sites. It's a large exercise in futility & frustration. Guess they can't afford (he he he he) to offer better or personal support for their products anymore, much less free. I actually live only about half an hour from their headquarters, but can't reach a human for the life of me. Sorry, I digress, anyway, thanks to the person who did respond quickly & several times while trying to help me with this.

I was cleaning my laptop keypad and one of the keys has come off....not sure how to put it back. Compaq Presario C700

Usually laptop keyboards are a unit by-itself meaning you may not be able to get individual key replacements if you were to request these directly from the manufacturer... I would probably be getting compaq on the phone to find out how much it costs to either have the they keyboard serviced (if possible) or the quoute on getting a replacement keyboard as even in the service manual for several laptops there's no specifics on how to remove keys from the keyboard but only how to deattach the whole unit for servicing porpuses.

HP DV 2000 keyboard not responding on all keys. Laptop is 2 years old. Tried all usual remedies including keyboard replacement. Works on a USB plug in keyboard. Any ideas please

If a section of keys isn't working at all, you'll likely need a new keyboard.  If the problem is with IOPUJKL:M keys you may have the Numlock on.

Keyboard dead

Usually,if you drop a piece of computer equipment, it's age does not have much to do with anything. It will break just as good, whether it's old or new. You said it : board is dead.
