Using the key words "music on hold software" in a search engine will get you enough hits to still be looking through tomorrow.

I'm partial to the Intellihold OHP-6000 and soon to be released 8000, only because it comes with Message Studio 3.0.

In truth, the best of any players for production is the Premier USB-1100. Street price is nearly $200, but it's a good plug it in and forget it device.

Some people have had a little luck with modifiying MP3 players. The problem is when the power goes out, or it decides to stop working, it just quits. The commercial grade ones recover from power outages and just keep working.

Since I've sold this stuff for a ton of years, I'd recommend the OHP-6000 first for the software, the USB-1100 for convenience, the Nel-Tec Messager for price, and a host of other things next.

I could make you a good deal on a OHP-4000, but that's probably another thread.

The OHP-6000 product has a free copy of Message Studio 3.0, and you can download a trial version with a demo message from the following link. I have also included links to other sites just for fun.

http://www.onholdplus.com/download/download.html

http://www.premtech.com/usb1100.html

http://www.nel-techlabs.com/messager_mp3.html

Prices on all of the above is $150-225.

While I do not see a programming guide for the lights on the unit, here is the programming guide where you can take a look yourself.

We have a Panasonic KX T7436 phone in our office but the manual doesn't tell us how to change the voicemail message for when the phone isn't answered. Can you assist?

It doesn't tell you because the voice mail system is a separate part of the TD system. There are instructions provided with the Voice Mail system. In a Panasonic brand TVX you access it by dialing 165 and control it from either the serial port, a USB port, or mailboxes 998 and 999. 998 and a set of instructions give you access to message recording. If you don't have the instructions, you need to contract whoever set it up or find the MESSAGE MANAGER guide.

Rather than play GuessYa, comment back with the VM model number. It's either a smaller white or black/blue box mounted near the main phone system cabinet.

Hello, I need to change our Company greeting. I can only figure out how to change the the greeting at the extensions.

If you have a Panasonic brand voice mail system, the company greetings are administered from mailbox 998. The problem is, you need a guide or just have to start looking for where the greetings are stored. A basic TVS-95 has 32 company greeting and 100 custom message slots. We keep ours in Custom service 30, 60, and 40 for Day, Night and Holiday with sub menus going in the digit dialed (ie Day option 3 message is 33), but not everybody does that. A lazy man might just start at 1.

You can find the administrators manual for your particular voice processing system online if you don't have one.

Hello i have a Panasonic KX-T7420 phone. how do i listen to the messages? thanks

Which ones? A Pana brand VM has an access code of 165. Your personal messages are in your box, the system messages (General Delivery Mailbox) are in mailbox 998. When you dial 165, you're automatically in your box. Mailbox 998 has a special access code that you dial and use to retrieve messages. We try to prevent messages from being dropped into the GDM, but it happens.

Have a message light on my kx t7436 and can not get rid of it

It's probably trying to tell you that 208 (an XDP from 108) left a message.

Just try clearing it by 700 plus your ext on the intercom and see if it goes away.

What you are looking for is a setting in the phone system, not the phone. You could have one of several different Panasonic phone systems that all program differently. Your first step is to find out which phone system you have. The part number should start with "KX-T" Then you will need a programming manual for the phone system.
