Pc will not let me download ANYTHING,error message ox8007005 cannot run disk cleanup.defrag,ad-aware,avg.When i try to download.it goes through the process to a point i get to run but disapears..Any fix...

It looks that your computer has been hit by a virus/malware: you can try to boot to safe mode (e.g. Hit F8 during boot sequence), delete any 'rogue' process and try to run your installed antivirus/antmalware software.
You can also try to boot to the last good startup state.
If you have a standalone bootable CD/DVD with an installed current antivirus, I would try this first.
Hope it helps and good luck!

No sound on my pc!

step 1: check with the speakers on another computer to ensure the speakers are working fine.

1. Insert the CD-ROM titled 'Fujitsu Technology Solutions Drivers & Utilities CD' that came with the computer into the DVD tray and close it.
2. The Drivers & Utilities CD will start automatically.
3. Click on 'Driver Installation' option.

4. Click on INSTALL.
5. After the installation process the computer will automatically re-start. If not, for safety reasons (to not misinform/corrupt the information on the registry) restart the machine manually (Start Menu - Shut Down).
If you receive a message saying 'Found New Hardware Wizard' during the Drivers installation (Automatic recommended), ignore it and leave the Drivers & Utility CD to finish the installation. The D+U Setup is will detect the computer's hardware (it will not detect the drivers of any external devices you may have) and install the drivers needed. After you re-boot the machine you may get the Found New Hardware Wizard again, this will be your Monitor being detected, follow the on-screen instructions to install it properly (if you have a driver's disk, provided with your monitor or any other external device that you have connected, use this when prompted)

My driver for my cd rom drive on my t1842 desktop computer stops working and the cd drive disapears from the my computer window. I already tried reinstalling the driver 4 times and there is a problem each...

why dont you check the the cd rom on another computer and see if it experiences similar problems. If not try updating your bios and your drivers for cd rom. If you experience similar problems on another computer the drive might be failing. Consult the drive supplier and ask for a repair or replacement

My computer @Acer Aspire 5101' will no longer record to DVD. It plays DVDs and the drivers are fine. I deleted some files from the registry (on advice) as my DVD drive had disapeared from 'my computer'.

Well wombat, removing files from the Registry should not have hurt your drive, but probably screwed up alot of other files because alot of programs share dll's and other pertinent Info. Try opening your Windows Explorer and clicking on MY COMPUTER. If your drive is listed there than your ok. go to your Drive Letter for your DVD and right click on it. Click Properties and see if it is Activated. If Not click on the box and activate it to Record. Hope that does it for ya. Good Luck.

Cannot backup files to a cd/dvd

we may need more details but you can try this for now

1. are you sure you have a cd writer or a dvd writer (writer = burner)--- check the front edge of your cd/dvd unit and look for words like "writer" "burner" or writeable next to the word dvd or compact disc... keep in mind not all cd/dvd writer can write (burn) cd or dvds, some may burn cd but not dvds.

2. is your cd/dvd unit compatible with the media (cd or dvd blank disk) you are trying to use.. depending your cd/dvd especifications your dvd/cd drive is compatible with certain types of cd or dvds that are writeable.

3. is the cd/dvd a writeable cd/dvd and is compatible with your cd/dvd drive? for instance.. if you are using a blank dvd and your cd/dvd drive only burn cd/s and read dvd and cd you won't be able to write to the blank dvd.

4. are you trying to burn a dvd in a corporate computer.?? as a user (not an administrator) of your corporate computer you may not have priviledges that will allow them to burn dvd/cd's even you your drive and your media are compatible.

please post
the error that you get
the brand and model of the computer you're using
the type of media you're using
