It says lens cap is still on when it isn't. If I re-play something, I don't have problems viewing it, but when I attempt to record, it won't let me.

Remove stuck rear lens cap

The first thing I would try is using one of those rubber pads that are used for removing stubborn lids from jars. If that dose not work, I would use the fact that the Nikon rear lens caps are made out of soft plastic to my advantage. If you have a Dremel rotary tool with a disk cutting tool, you may be able to CAREFULLY and slowly cut away the lens cap. You didn't say which lens this is, but since with most lenses the telephoto position moves the rear element away from the back of the lens, I would set the lens to telephoto before starting to cut. I would start by cutting through the back of the lens cap. Cut a little at a time and try to take off the cap. Proceed slowly periodically trying to remove the cap. Hopefully, the pressure will be relieved and the cap will release before it becomes necessary to cut across the lens flange. When you are done, I would carefully clear the lens of any debris.

How to remove stucked lens cap

It depends what lens cap you have some lens caps you pinch off
Others you pull off some screw off its the easiest thing you can do on the camera you should have had a a1 filter screwed on before the lens cap then all you would have done is unscrew it all.
Then again you may have to take it to Nikon on Wilshire

Check fuel cap light

This typically means that your fuel cap isn't making a tight enough seal and the tank isn't getting pressurized as it should be.

My Night Owl Cyclops NOCC3 night vision monocular wont pick up the infra red light properly so I can't view anything at night!!!! I haven't the lens cap off in light only when it's dark out and it won't...

Hello, is the IR glowing red, don't look into the IR lens. Just place your hand in front of it and see the is a red glare on your had. If there is a red glare then IR is work.
Another thing when you taking a look see through the Night owl NV monocular there should be a green glow from the image intensifier tube, if not, then the NV monucular isn't working properly. stewbison

Wide angle cap vs wide angle lens

The cap is a plastic disk, usually black or silver, that snaps on at the end of the lens to keep the lens clean. Some lenses have two caps, one for each end when not attached to the camera.
Some cameras don't use a "loose" cap; those cameras generally retract the lens into the camera body and "close" a door in front of the lens.
Many, if not most, camera users do not use a cap (my guess).

The wide angle lens is generally an "optional" lens that can be used for group or scenery pictures when you want to shoot a "wide" picture. A "normal" lens is generally around 50mm (plus / minus 5mm). A wide lens is anywhere from 17mm to 24mm (or so).

I recommend obtaining a wide lens... with a cap.

Hope this helps!

Lost lens cap

I would sugest using an adaptor ring. You can reduce the size of your lens opening down a common size lens cap that will fit your camera. If you can't go this route then give me the make and model number and I will see what I can do for you. LJ
