I'd suggest removing all of the HP stuff from your system (may include a bit of directory diving and registry diving if needed).

Then, download the latest drivers from the HP website and install them.

Want msi file for hp 5590

The MSI files are located at the following locations:
  1. Browse the CD. Go to the Setup folder. Go to the DocProc folder. Double-click Docproc.msi to install.
  2. Browse the CD. Go to the Setup folder. Go to Qfolder . Double-click Qfolder.msi to install.

  1. If you do not have the software CD, download the HP Scanjet full feature software and driver from the HP Scanjet Full Feature Software and Driver web page. Click here to go to the "HP Scanjet Full Feature Software and Driver" web page
  1. After downloading the software, right-click the downloaded file, and extract the files to a new folder.
  2. Go to the Setup folder. Go to the DocProc folder. Double-click Docproc.msi to install.

Mising docproc.msi error; HP all-in-one 5610


Windows installed is trying to configure the missing .msi file.Please follow the below steps to remove the msi files.
  1. Download the Windows Installer Clean-Up utility (see Resources for link). Click the link on the download page on the Microsoft website and save the file to your Windows desktop.
  2. Double-click the utility setup icon on the desktop.The icon is labeled msicuu2.exe. Follow the prompts and the installation wizard instructions to install the utility. Click the "Finish" button in the installation wizard when it is finished.
  3. Open the utility. Click Start > All Programs >Windows Installer Clean-Up. This opens the Windows Installer Clean-Upwindow.
  4. Click to highlight the program whose MSI files "DOCPROC" you want to remove, then click the "Remove" button. Thisopens a warning prompt window.
  5. Click the "OK" button in the warning prompt window.The utility will remove the MSI files for the "DOCPROC"application you selected.

Step 1. Click Start and then click Run. Type 'msiexec /unregister' (without ')into the Open box, and then press Enter.

Step 2. Click Start again and then click Run. Type 'msiexec /regserver' (without ') into the Open box, and then press Enter.
