Check if you have connected the power correctly, and if that is fine then you need to connect the green pin jack at the back of the green slot behind the computer.

Same problem, brand new Dell Vostro, hooked up Polk Audio speakers from former computer and get very, very faint music. Need a solution

if the sound is very faint. you can check the volume properties if it is set to maximize and also check the physical volume control on the actual speaker - also Disconnect Any Headphones That May Be Connected to the Computer - Check for and remove any headphones connected to the computer or speakers to prevent them from muting the external speakers.Click Start, and then click Control Panel.Double-click Sounds and Audio Devices. Click the Sounds tab. You can also try head phone if it is Crystal Clear on headphone then the problem is with the Speaker as Dell might need to replace it. :)

My Dell A225 Speakers do not play audio- just the computer sounds.

Test this setup with your walkman/ipod.

The most likely problem is in your computer's mixer selection.

Put a CD into your computer drive and play this CD.

If the CD audio output is low then dial up the mixer CD output.

If you do not has audio via CD at all then the CD drive to sound card audio cable is disconnected.

Dell lime green subwoofer cable 5G068 for an older Dell Dimension deck top tower. I lost it when moving and need a replacment

all you need to do is run over to radio shack or best buy, and purchase a 3.5mm to 3.5mm male to male cable, about 6-10 feet should be plenty

Plugged in to rear green port won't workwont

Make sure switch is on, try pluging it into an external MP3 player.
No sound would be coming from the speakers if nothing is playing on the computer also look at the computer volume as well as the speaker volume control.

One of my speakers got disconnected and I don't know where to plug it in.

Typically, the LEFT speaker connects only to the RIGHT speaker.

The RIGHT speaker connects to the LEFT speaker.
The RIGHT speaker connects to the AC power-supply.
The RIGHT speaker connects to the "green" port (not the nearby "blue" nor "pink" connectors) on the "back" of your computer.

Check the connections.

Please Help!

I had the same problem: speakers worked, but clicked whenever they were on. They are actually Compaq speakers connected to a Dell computer. I solved the problem by moving the speakers about 12 inches farther away from my wireless router. Very easy!

Dell Speaker 215 problem

Would suggest that when you plugged in the router power supply it supplied a HIGHER voltage and you have blown the speakers.
