Question about Hitachi 53UDX10B 53" Rear Projection Television

Hitachi 53" projection (53UDX10B) line across screen

I am having problems with my Hitachi 53" projection (53UDX10B) there is a line across the upper 1/4 of the screen and it saggs down on the left side about 3/4". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks MSchaeffer

Replace STKS also it is a 6 hour job if you have to do a complete realinement of convergence so do not clear DCU ram module.

Blue lines across screen with mirror images


Try adjusting the convergence. If it won't move see below

This sounds like convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!

Broken screens on 53'' Hitachi rear-projection TV


I think it would likely work if you trimmed it evenly around the sides in order to maintain the central position. Focus may have to be adjusted but thats all.

most tv shop's will replace convergence ic's,which your tv needs.Thepart number is stk392-180 very common You need 2 plus poss resistors,3 bucks apiece
