This message I received from manufacturer -

Thank you for contacting Kensington Technical Support.
We would like to inform you that DomeHub USB 2.0 (7 ports) requires 5 volts, 2.5 amperes and has Center Positive.

I came here to learn the voltage of the power supply for the DomeHub 2.0 7 port hub. However, now my question is - Does it come WITH a power supply, or is it an option? I'm asking because I'm not sure if I should keep looking for the PS that came with it or if perhaps I never had one... and so, need to find it through a 3rd party.

Thanks you for any help with this.

Belkin ultraslim not showing files

Try plugging the Belkin directly into your PC USB and see if the same condition persists. Some USB devices get the power from the USB plug, there may not be enough amperage available to power the hard drive you are using (not sure what type of hard drive you are reffering to)

Replacement tips for Kensington 120W AC/DC adapter model 33197

I have the same model adapter for my dell, I believe there is a number on the tip that you need, have you tried ebay for the part they are called 'smart tips'. I think it's a different adapter direct from kensington now, but you can buy them from 3rd parties.

I have a Q-Stor 7 port USB hub, Model QU2RCT7. I

I don't have the original power supply for my QU2RCT7 either, but most hubs use a 5v DC power adapter, typically with a 2A. (2 amp) rating. I'm using such an adapter with my QU2RCT7 and it works fine. Make sure the adapter you select is tip-positive (ie, the "+" terminal is the "tip," or center, of the connector).

Kensington 33403 power adapter beeping and providing no power

I have the same model. I pinched the cord from the from the supply to the notebook. The cord looked ok from the outside, but was damaged internally. I called Kensington support and they sent out a referb unit at no cost using only the serial number to validate the date of manufacture. The company has a two year replacement policy from purchase date, but if you lose your receipt they came go by maufacture date. give them a call.
