Hi advantic500, there are hundred's of motherboards that use the VIA chipset. So getting you a manual is impossible.
(What I need is the model number of the motherboard)!
I gather you were able to see the marking of one chip. There is a second closer to the CPU. Even if you were able to post the second chip, (Which is most likely 8237) it wouldn't help. Try looking at either side of the PCI slots & the sides of the IDE ports for the model number. US boards usually place the model number near the memory slots.
It is not UT8235. It is VT8235. Here is VIA's web site:

    http://www.via.com.tw/en/index.jsp

    Here is VIA's, VT8237 site: http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/chipse...

Here is a standard search for VIA chipset motherboards:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=

Model number is a must if you want the manual.

    Good luck advantic500!

    Mike

Need to reset Asus k7v bios

Yes, if you consult your motherboard manual this will show you the location of the cmos battery and reset jumpers. You can either move the jumpers from pins 1+2 to 2+3 and then back again after a few seconds or remove the cmos battery for a few seconds. Make sure your pc is off!

PS 2 port problem

What is the model number of your motherboard? VIA does not make Processor's/CPU's.
VIA makes chipset's for motherboards.
In order to answer your question I'll need the manual for the motherboard. No manual listed here: http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/mainboards/others/p4xb_m.jsp

Here is a picture of the VIA P4XB-M motherboard. This model can not use DDR2 memory. (Only, 184pin PC2100 DDR266 DIMM)
Found here: http://www.upgradecomputermemory.com/ram.cfm//memory/V/VIA-Technologies/P4XB-M-Motherboard/256MB-VIA-Technologies-Desktop-184pin-PC2100-DDR266-DIMM.html

VIA P4XB-M

99.0% of motherboards still use PS2 ports. One colored purple for the PS2 keyboard female port, back side of the MB & the other colored light green, female port, back side of the MB PS2 mouse port. By default, most motherboards have the jumper for PS2 keyboard enabled. Location for this two-pin jumper varies from board to board.
A USB port looks like this:

The PS2 port's are found in the upper left hand corner of this same picture. This next link will show how to connect USB motherboard jumpers including their wire locations. (Standard for most motherboard USB connections).

Via p4m266a

Hi boto2, with VIA it's anything but tough. You can get some information at this link. Scroll down to the P4 Series section.
http://www.via.com.tw/en/resources/download-center/chipsets/

Drivers here. Scroll to the bottom for a picture of the P4M266A
http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/mainboards/others/p4m

A standard manual ? (if VIA doesn't show one, there is none).

Good Luck!

Via ac 97

Hi,
go to website VIA technologies.
AC 97 driver is an audio chip driver, for your motherboard.
you,ll probably need motherboard information ( make-model-et,c ) If you just type in AC97 loads will come up. this is asking for a specific driver, for a certain Chipset on your Motherboard.
