Question about Sonic Impact Technologies i-P23 Portable Speakers for Apple iPod - Black

Open Question

Sonic Impact iP23 Quicksilver Speaker

How do I fix above speaker that I have only had for 5 months and which I have not used a lot - only when travelling? Never experience this before. Not as if it was a cheap purchase. cost $100 Canadian.

Can you help? Many thanks.

SOURCE: contact info for sonic impact technologies???

I purchased Sonic Impact portable ipod speakers from Target in November. I have been having problems with the speakers and have also been unable to reach them. I tried email and the phone # on their web site. I also tried the number listed on the warranty card and could not get through. I contacted Target customer assistance and was told that the manufacturer is no longer in business. It appears that their products are still being sold online. DON'T purchase one!

SOURCE: new unit doesn't charge IPOD when plugged into 110v

make sure you have the cord plugged in to the DC IN 9V outlet in the speakers and not the audio in. Sounds simple but this is what I was doing wrong.

I P 23 Speaker Not Working?

Like several posts my I P23 speaker system just quit working. I didn't have the manual and neither did anyone else. Also, no one on Fix Ya really solved the problem. Well - I finally figured it out. In the left side battery compartment you will notice a small little tab like door. Open that door and there is a 3V flat disc battery. You will need a small flat head screw driver to hold back the spring loaded pin that is holding the battery in place. I found a replacement at Radio Shack. It is smaller in diameter than a standard 3V disc battery. The speakers now work!! Yeah!!!!

I own a sony MHC-GX45. A while ago the left speaker started fading off after 10 or 15 minutes of playing. If the volume is at 5 or below, it will completely go off, if I raise the volume up above 6 and...

Sorry, I have a similar problem and came here looking for a solution. I believe the problem is with the speaker or the speaker wire. When I move the "good" speaker to the other set of lugs, it continues to function OK. I wish I could get the speaker box open without major surgery, but, alas, they are not made for repair. Don't know if I will cut into the box. My temp solution is to turn the unit off/on. This gets both speakers working. Bit of a drag, but I am finding it real difficult to find a new system w a tape player.

Sony i-P23 speakers were dropped and won't work now.

I would go back to where you got it. I have also noticed that the apple workers at the apple store are really good at fixing those things.

Sonic impact i-P23 quit working with AC adapter & with batteries

Same problem. Speakers blew out and you can't get a hold of ANYONE at the company. You might want to try contacting the co-founder and principal Richard Bracke at BigRich@si-technologies.com (not sure if it's his correct email but I'm going to try it) or writing a letter to him at: Address: 255 State St., San Diego, CA 92101-1315
