Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54GS Router (e125894)
Running XP, my server in Hughes Net. Trying to get my other computer on wireless. My other is ready, just can't get the G configured saying the router is hooked up wrong. Tried switching cables...nothing. I am able to get on line with the parent computer. Just can't finish loading the filmware or software.
Reset you Linksys to factory default,
press and hold the reset button for a few seconds, at the rear.
Then, connect via a cable (NOT WIRELESS, use your perent computer) and set your security again.
Remember admin password :-)
then set the security on your other computer with the same as the router
Then, I recommend downloading the latest firmware and install that.
Download the latest firmware from here:
Need additional help write a comment, and I´ll be back :-)
Other vice, vote "FixYa" if this was sufficient.

I ended up not using the CD to complete the setup. I ended up doing the setup manually as far as the network card masking and it worked fine.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
