I have the same problem. I think it is the temperature probe. I have ordered a new one. When I fit it I will let you know if it resolves the problem.

The fault occured a few days after I altered the radiator layout and then refilled the system. Intially the boiler worked fine, then a few days later all of the temperature lights light upto 80 and the boiler would not fire. The pump was working but the fan was not. After diagnosing the electronics I came to the conclusion it was either the contol pcb or the temperature probe. As the temperature probe was the cheaper option I replaced that first. The system is now working again. I think this fault was caused by me failing to completly remove all air from the system after refill and an air lock occuring causing the probe to burn out.

Amana 90 furnace won't ignite. Inducer fan runs for 30 seconds then shuts off and nothing happens. Try to turn fan on at thermostat and nothing happens. Ac works fine.

Most likely one of two issues is occurring. Either the inducer fan is not providing enough draft because it is either spinning too slowly or the impeller is damaged, or the pressure switch that the inducer motor air flow is supposed to activate is not operating properly. If the pressure switch fails to activate, the furnace will not open the gas valve and fire the ignition believing that there is not sufficient draft the vent the combustion gases.

I have a Braeburn 3200 and when the the temperature reaches the desired heat setting. The furnaces heat will shut off, but the fan will continue to run indefinetly. eventually blowing very cold air up

The fan relay is stuck in the on position. When the temperature drops the heater does not ignite because the fan is already running and ignition is locked out after the heat cycle starts an the fan turns on

The water pressure dial is reading 4, there is water dripping from the overflow, but now boiler fires up, sounds like it is lighting but then dies off, any suggestions, it is an ideal response 80.

there should be around 15-20 lbs of water pressure if the over flow is leaking check the expanson tank. if not enough water going out on high temp. Also check the auto fill/ manuel fill

Yesterday my ariston boiler made a loud noise and water burst out from the boiler what can be the problem?

Hi,
The pressure built up in the boiler and the relief (safety) valve released some water to relieve the pressure...
Either the exspansion tank is bad or the fill valve is leaking by...
This causes excess pressure to build in the boiler...

Robertshaw 9600: Temperature rises too high, fan doesn't stop.

It sounds like the thermostat is wired improperly. One quick was to check is by finding breaker to unit and shutting off power. Go to thermostat and remove from wall take all wires off thermostat besides wire going to R(might be RcandRh) and C(which is common) Tape all bare wires removed with electrical tape. Now go back to the breaker and turn power back on. Nothing should be running at all. Take a voltage meter and measure the voltage from R to W(which is heating). If you read 24V then the thermostat is open and not calling for heat. Now turn the thermostat up so it is calling for heat. You should read 0V from R to W. If this checks out your thermostat is probally fine. You can check the fan the same way by going from R to G. In auto you shoul read 24V from R to G and in th on postion you will read 0V from R to G. If the thermostat checks out then the problem is probably at the furnace or rooftop. Either with the thermostat wiring or the main board acting up

Vaillant combi boiler problem

when the tap is turned on and the water light on the boiler doesn't this means the diverter valve is not operating it could be down to low water pressure in the house this can be checked at the cold tap in the kitchen. if there is plenty of pressure then it could be the diagphram in the diverter valve is worn or split. the diagphram is only a few pounds but it depends on the engineer you get as to how much money he wants to fit it.
the egg timer symbol (or two pyramids together) is an ignition indicator turn off and on again to see if it will fire with the tap running. reset the boiler with the lower right hand control knob.

My aristion DIA 20-24 combi boiler keeps tripping the over heat thermostat button located under the main control panel maybe 5 times a day seems to be getting more frequent

hi,

just check your water supply of your aristion DIA 20-24 combi boiler if is in constant pressure. not properly circulated water supply can cause overheating.

and manuals can help us also in proper checking. at the link below please check this out if you don't have.

Riello oil burner RDB with red plastic cover at the front wont ignite. I've tried bleeding the valve. The motor seems to make an electrical humming noise for about 12 secs, then the system attempts to...

The motor should spin when the boiler is switched on. One end of the motor spins the fan the other end works the pump. The control box then starts the transformer that starts a spark. The control box then opens up the oil. The boiler should then light if any of the above or the boiler does not light, the boiler will go to lockout.
From what you say the motor is not spinning, thus it could be the motor or more like the pump.

YOU SHOULD NOT PLAY WITHE THE PUMP

If the wrong setting is made it could 1 burn out the back of your boiler 2 go to soot and the boilers in an hour would be filled up and become a fire risk. 3 not start at all if the setting is too low it is a fine line to get it to work and needs the right tools.

regards
oil eng.
