How can i set up the printer to this computer?

depending on it's age, it could be a Parallel, a Serial, or a USB printer....

You will also need the drivers for it...Note: it is sometimes known as a Zebra printer. HOW you connect it to your PC depends on the connection. WHEN you install the drivers also depends on what connection type it is (USB: do not connect printer until the driver software tells you to, the others are OK to connect first...but NOT while the PC is ON....especially for a serial printer.)

UPS used to use those (they may still,) and might have drivers you can use....they wern't for USB when I used them, but they may have now...

Why I'm I unable to access my Jarfile lib\MP3Rocket.jar

You are likely experiencing this error because of an error with the java files that are on your computer. You see, some part of the java installation is corrupted when you receive this type of error. Java controls all aspects of MP3 Rocket's functions, even starting up. When Java is corrupted, it appears that MP3 Rocket is broken when really it may not be. You cannot physically inspect Java to be sure it installed properly so you must first do an uninstall, a restart, and then the Java installation followed by the Rocket installation.

Will ATI Radeon x1900 run on my Dell Optiplex 755?

Looking at the specifications for the Optiplex 755 line I'm seeing the highest power supply is in the minitower version at 305W. I can't find a document specifying the power requirements for the Radeon x1900, but most benchmark power consumption tests show the system pulls around 280 - 300W with that card installed.
The problem is either your specific Optiplex 755 configuration can't support the power requirements, I don't know if you have the MiniTower, Desktop Tower, Small Form Factor or Ultra Small Form Factor version of the sytem or the card is itself is bad.

When start system show error

Does the system boot up? This does not seem like an error that would stop it from booting up, just an annoyance.

Click Start/Programs and look for the RUNcommand. You might see it anywhere once you click Programs, or it might beinside the Accessories folder. Click RUN and when it opens up type"msconfig.exe" (without the quotes) then hit ok.

When the System Configuration window opens click the Startup tab. In theStartup Tab we are only concerned with 2 columns, the first column which is theStartup Items and the column that says Command. You can put your mouse pointerbetween two column headings and it will turn into a +, then hold the left mousebutton and drag the column over to the right to expand it so you can readwhat's below it.

Now everything has a check mark beside it. This means that everytime youstart your computer, these items have to load and run.
Start with the first item listed under the startup item column and look at itand look at the command for it. We want to find the command that your system is having a problem with the script file. The command is C:\WINDOWS\system32\FAantivirus.vbs. When you see it under the command column take the check mark off over to the left next to the item column and this will keep it from running the next time you boot your system.

Cannot get on the internet ,network adaptor is not working

First you want to make sure that you network adapter is truly not working and if not what part of it isn’t working.

First we need to check some settings. Open the start menu and then network connections, then show all connections. Some computers have been configured with out this option set, so to get to the open the “My Network Places” the on the right hand panel click “View Network Connections”. Insure that the network adapter that you use to connect to the Internet is enabled. If it is then we will move on, if not then double click the icon and it should enable the adapter (check to see if you can connect to the Internet).

Moving on, open the start menu and click the run button. In the box, type cmd.exe and hit enter. At the command prompt we will enter some commands to find out where the problem is. First type “ipconfig” and hit enter. If your IP address (the first IP address listed) is ok (anything not starting with 69) then that part is working on and we will have to move on. Next type “ping 127.0.0.1” and hit enter. This tests your operating system to see if it’s working. If you get a response then the problem isn’t your OS. If you get an error then we will need to trouble shoot that later. Now type “ping” then your IP address; this tests your network card to see if it’s working correctly. If you don’t get an error then you network card is working. The last command will test your network, type “ping” then your default gateways IP address. If you don’t get any errors then your problem might be with the network configurations in your router or you ISP.

If your IP address starts with 69 the there is something wrong with the way your computer is getting its IP address from your network. One easy way to fix that is to force it to accept a different on. In the “view my network connection” box, right click on the network adapter icon the properties. In the center box, scroll down to the internet protocol (TCP/IP) and highlight it the click the properties button. In the following box select the “use the following IP address” button. In the IP address area type “192.168.0.1” then hit tab and enter “255.255.255.0” the click ok. Now go back to the previous box and click the “obtain an IP address automatically” and click ok. Now try to connect and see what happens.

If you received an error from your ping test (127.0.0.1) then you need to reinstall the TCP/IP stack. To do that, all you need to do is highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click uninstall. Then click the install button, locate the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click install. Try to connect and see what happens.

If you received an error from your ping test (your IP address) then you can assume that your network card is bad and should buy a new Network Interface Card (NIC) at your local computer store. To install it, turn off your computer and you remove the screws (or push a button on the back of the computer depending on you computer). If you’re looking at the back panel it should be on the left side. The card should snap into place and install automatically. You should install any drivers that came with the hardware to make sure it operates properly.

If you got an error from your ping test to the “default gateway” then you network hardware is having problems. Try unplugging everything plug it back in. You need to make sure that you plug the modem in first and insure that all the lights turn green before you plug your router back in. If that doesn’t work you will need to replace your network hardware.

The last thing that it could be is your firewall. For that you may need to contact the manufacture to get proper configuration information.

If you’re still having problems, post a comment.

Good luck,
Eryk V

SONY VAIO VGN-NR21Z DOESN'T SEE WIFI

Be sure that your wifi button is ON
Be sure that your wireless network is working
Check your wireless router settings
Check if you see any other wireless network available on your computer

Test connection, see if you pulled an IP address
  1. Go to the Windows desktop
  2. Select Start then Run
  3. In the text box type: cmd (WIN98/SE type command)
At the command prompt type: ipconfig
4. What does it read as the IP address?
* If it reads 192.168. something dot something then you are pulling
an IP address and are connected to the network. The problem is
software related, check your firewall, and wireless card configuration.
Also check any WPA or WEP encryption keys. Check with the respective
manufactures.
* If it reads 0.0.0.0 for the IP address you are not connected to the network.
* Check your connection configuration and the adaptor.
* Check with the respective manufactures.

STEP TWO/ Basic troubleshooting continued....Testing the adaptor

1. Go to Windows desktop
2. Select Start then Run
3. In the text box type: cmd (WIN98/SE type command)
A DOS window will open.
4. At the prompt type: ping 127.0.0.1 (reserved IP address for all adaptors)
5. Check the line that reads "packets sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0

A. Zero is good, the adaptor is working. Again check the connection
configuration,and the adaptor configuration.
It may be a power issue especially with older or less expensive computers
or wireless cards.
* Check the antenna location, are you inside or outside, look for interference.
* Check with the respective manufactures.

B. If it reads all 4 packets lost, the adaptor is not functioning.
* Check and update the drivers, Contact the respective manufactures.
* If it shows any number of packets lost (you are dropping packets)
it is an adaptor or signal strength issue (generally form the laptop side,
not being able to reach back) especially with older or less expensive
computers or wireless cards.
* Update the drivers
* Check antenna location, or distance from the signal
* Contact the respective manufactures.
