Hi, I have an 11yr old 80 series elec. dryer and just fixed the same problem. On the heater element is a thermostat with 2 wires and above that about 14" is another piece with 2 wires. I had to replace the top one. They sell them together in a kit called Thermal cut off kit. Sears sell it for 25.49 look up part number 279816 or 3399848 again these numbers are for my dryer but you can look them up on the sears parts web site. If you have a sears service center near by they let me buy the parts to see which one it was and then return the ones I didn't need. I hope this helps.Good luck

Try to get in the back of the dryer section? If you can, i believe you can get to it from the back im not to sure, its been a while since i work on this model...to help you out better go to this websit www.partselect.com and then type in your model number. click on your model number and it should pull up diagrams. click on the dryer section and it shows where each part is located...hope this helps...
