My Epson Stylus D92 printer doesn't recognise the ink cartridges all together. It will say the red and blue are empty so they are replaced, then it will say the red and black or blue and yellow.

Try a Reset. It sounds like it is confused!

"Ink cartridges not recognised" it

Remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken . It is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the command , can be an issue with ink drying , can also be poor ink cartridge contacts

Sx405 will not recognise any cartridges . even epsom cartridges. at the moment i have 1 cartridge. black, not epsom, in the printer, but will not recognise any of the other colors

Did you use Epson Genuine Cartridges?
ALL…. Epson & Brother Requires Genuine Cartridges. !!!!!!!!
That sounds like your problem.

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. I also Purchased a Brother MFC-240C All-In-One InkJet Printer. That also does not like Generic Print Cartridges. Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc.

These printers have a CHIP that will detect if it is Generic or Genuine. When they see it’s Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors. It also will not let you print anything, if only one of the cartridges is empty.

I wanted to print only Black, and would not let me, because I did not have any ink in one of my cyan cartridges. Go figure.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, and some are refillable. Some you can refill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. .

IF YOU ARE USING GENERIC CARTRIDGES, MAYBE IT WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU DISABLE THE INK MONITOR.

This is the only advice I can give you.

The printer won't recognise the printer cartridges. I tried replacing older cartridges with new ones and even this doesn't work. They are genuine epson cartridges and the same ones I have always bought.

Check chip connnector at ink tank and at head carriage. It's may be dirty. Check status monitor? what ink tank not recognized. Press ink light (1-4 times) depends on number ink tank not recognized, press 1 time again, carriage will move co replacement position, unplug and plug again all ink tank, press ink light 1 more.

Epson s20 genuin ink not recognised

I think the problem is in your windows, try to reinstall your windows. I suggest, don't reset the original chip, cause it's damage the chip.

Hi all i have had simuler problems with my epson sx405 when the ink reaches 25 per cent it fails to recognize the cartridge i have also had them blocking the print head up. i have now swapped cartridge manufacturer and the blocked head issue is resolved now the only issue is the failure to recognise the cart at 25 per cent. i thnk this is a issue with the chip on the cart itself

I just went back to the ink carteridge supplyer and swapped it for a new one. Printer works fine now. Must have been a dodgy cartridge.
