Question about Uniden TRU94852 Phone
I have the same handset and the 2nd one seemed to stop working after working great for 2 yrs. I placed both sets together and hit the PAGE button on the main handsets cradle. Both phone's were paged and, for some reason, the 2nd handset reset. It worked for me...or at least, something in what I did worked. BTW, H1 and H2 shows in upper right side (or at least it did after I paged)...and I made sure to put the phones in the correct cradle (H1 is the main handset). I just did this so hoping it continues to work!

1) With the phone in standby mode, press the menu/clock key three times.
You hear “Ring time” and the current ring time ([2 ], [ 4], [6 ], [T ] Toll
saver), and it is displayed on the main base. Then you hear the guidance for setting
the ring time.
2) Press the volume/select/ or up or down arrow key until the desired ring time appears.
3) Press the set key to select the new ring time. You hear a confirmation tone, then
the announcement “Ring time” followed by the new ring time. After a few
seconds, the system announces “To set record time, press menu again.”

SOURCE: I have 2 cordless and
when the handsets show searching, that indicates that they are having difficulty registering with the base. problem here could be the base itself. solution is to turn off base, unplug from wall socket, wait for about an hour, connect base and power it up. you may have to re-register the handsets for them to work again.
