Use the manual control volume on the right see if it work manually.
Take the remote apart clean the circuit board little alcahol with a Q tip.
Check the Red+Yellow+White cables, make sure they're all in the correct place. Also with your remote control, go to the menu, just play with it a little till you reach the sound menu, put bass a little higher... etc!
